Zoomed out shot of all the map you know?
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

Sure here we go:

or

Zanth built the Buddhist shrine and he is 1-turn away from Metal Casting.

Looks likes islands are going to be pretty big this game, so we might want to get MC slightly early than usual to protect our coasts.

We get graphs on JermanGoey. Another advantage of early courthouses is the ease of EP accumulation.

Looks like war is brewing somewhere in the fog. Suttree has been whipping quite a bit and consistently last to play the turn.

2 more Confucianism spreads, nice!

We met Azza, who's on 13 cities. Also note than we got a trade connection to Barteq.

It's turn 115 aka 1AD. There's still 3/7 of our opponents that we haven't met yet.

Tech path is probably something like: Metal Casting->Machinery->IW->HBR->Feudalism->Guilds

Should get there in about 20 turns, maybe less if we can get a golden age going.

Mikasa is the greatest city in the world.

There's been something weird with the map that I haven't been able to figure out why. I think with the latest scouting info I can tell you what it is.

I met Azza in the north and GermanJojo came from the south. So one theory is that there's three continents with 3/3/2 civs. However, I'm sure we learnt that this not a good design from PB16. smile

I defogged a route to Azza and suddenly I got a trade connection to everybody.

This leads me to believe that there's our continent with 3 people and another continent with 5 people.

Note that the map is cylindrical. So I had another revelation, the map is wrapped around x-axis, instead of the y-axis that we usually see with a cylindrical map. So instead of north and south poles, we have east and west poles. crazyeye I'm 90% certain of this.

The placement of the tundra tiles lead me to this conclusion since Commodore loves "natural looking" maps.

I could be wrong about this, and if I'm right I don't think I'm the first person to come to this conclusion so this is probably old news to most of you lurkers.

Anyways about this game. I think Retep started a golden age because top production sky rocketed and he swapped into Judaism (he was the founder) on the same turn. I don't think this is a coincidence.

The demos to show why I thought someone started a golden age:

Perhaps I was wrong to think this, I mean their GNP be much higher than this, surely? Maybe they just suddenly swapped to hammer tiles? Then again perhaps it's wrong to compare our GNP to theirs since ours is pretty inflated. Our cheap courthouses, libraries, free Creative culture and religion all give "fake GNP".

We met Barteq this turn, north of Gavagai, near Azza. They have 14 cities and have more land than us. He indeed built the Hanging Gardens and Stonehedge.

Two more of our city got a Confucianism spread! We don't even have the ability to build missionaries yet so we only got the 1 free missionary.

11/16 cities now have Confucianism. yikes

That's pretty nice, do we have an ETA for a GA?

12 turns. cry

The thing is, there's a reasonable chance that we will get a prophet. (~30%) Would it be worth it to make a shrine instead of a GA that way?
