I am taking all games down in preparation for a rather big surprise for everyone. Everything will be saved, and should be back in a few hours.
As the Americans learned so painfully in Earth's final century, free flow of information is the only safeguard against tyranny. The once-chained people whose leaders at last lose their grip on information flow will soon burst with freedom and vitality, but the free nation gradually constricting its grip on public discourse has begun its rapid slide into despotism. The games are back up. However. The new address is:
pitboss.watto.no
The port numbers remain unchanged, except for the pitboss portal for PB18 which is now present at http://pitboss.watto.no
This is just a test for now, and I imagine we may run into some problems that might have to be fixed. For instance I need someone to connect to PB21 as soon as possible, as both PB21 and the ISDG Pitboss client doesn't report a timer at all in the Pitboss window - while the other Pitboss windows do. It might be a savegame problem for all I know.
And ruff is officially banned from playing in my games as a reward for ruining my big surprise by posting silly and correct theories in the PB18 tech thread. (Just kidding, obviously)[/size]

Also, in light of the server move, provided this works as it should, is stable etc I will grant access to the server via Teamviewer to a select few people here on RB so they can reload the games if it becomes necessary. When I have selected the people I want, I will guide them through the process of what they need to do etc via a shared Teamviewer session with them, and they will be listed in the first post of this thread as possible to contact if I am not available. I am thinking 2 people in the EU timezones and 2 people in the US timezones.

I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

There is definitely something wrong with PB21 and the ISDG. Even Civstats report their timers out of whack. Again, I need someone to try to connect to PB21, so I can get a clear picture of what the problem might be
