I could go on for ages.
The last straw was the capital raze, but the rage was...well, did you see Dental Plan's garrison before I hit it? I'm convinced it was 2/3 to 3/4 of his army, focused on me, while you were busy eating the entire rest of his empire. For all that city gifting is banned...he sure found a way.

I thought it might be that. In Azza's defence he had two or three axes/spears in our border cities and we hid our power spike very well ( ). We had OBs so while he should have been more paranoid (he didn't use OBs to scout us) he couldn't have known we were attacking when we did and had no reason to suspect us. Then the way he'd laid out his cities and our 2-movers meant that we'd have got everything before the garrison in Dental Plan could have got anywhere useful, so the only sensible thing for it to do was stay put .
Not in Azza's defence - as Retep pointed out - he's got a habit of going all-in grudge match style when someone "ruins" his game, so the fact you guys started fighting so early was just brilliant for us. Reminds me of us and Suttree and Mackoti in PB13...
Always sucks to be on the pointy end of an empire while the soft bit gets devoured though. Sorry about that...

You've nothing to apologize for. It was both logical and sportsmanlike for you to take advantage of our preoccupation.
I won't be playing any more games with Azza in them. Should help me remain a bit more grounded.
Edit: Fintourist - I probably shouldn't have come here right away while I was still steaming about Azza. I suspect that I'll be embarrassed to read what I wrote if I look at it again with a cool head. Sorry!

Oh god, I just realized something.. Based on event log + our civstats replacement + OH's screenshots it seems that BGN has been fighting against an AI for the last 5 turns. How on earth did that happen, I thought that Dreylin is covering the civ?
BGN, how can you just fight a war against an AI and don't say anything? It's not really doable to reload 5 turns back, so no can do, but this feels pretty low. Had you OH noticed this and just were more buddha?
It seems "johns" logged in for the first time 2 hours ago (I wondered why our tracker list does show him having finished this turn while the log doesn't, which made me realize this).
Oh well, it seems I don't have quite a stable mind at the moment as I'm finding reasons for conflicts everywhere. I guess I just should not care However, I don't think it's really ok that somebody fights against an AI while we had to against Mardoc.

Ok, more neutral/positive reporting for a while. T160 came, here are some random comments:
- Mardoc's WW is now gone and our happy situation is awesome again. Pickle and Yam have +3 happy and those are the cities closest to happy cap. E.g. Alfie has 7 extra now..
- We get a really nice known-tech bonus for Philo
- There is land NE of us (optics revealed)! Bounty island from Commodore!??
- I put cities that finished builds on wealth as usual..
- I think we now have more or less enough cats for Azza, so there is no huge need to prioritize them anymore with new builds. Couple more won't hurt of course :P
- Btw, unless Dhalphir/Johns-AI has been in Golden Age it has just wasted couple of turns for useless revolts
- It seems to me as if we are starting catch dtay's food lead. Maybe I'm just hallucinating though!

Tech thread, November 1.
And I'm reasonably sure AI's been a better defender than Dhal was. AI plays longer turns, at least.

Turn 160
Xenu took a city back off CH, Krovice's Golden Age started and they'll have Gunpowder this turn (military techs from them and dtay is promising), we're turning 742 beakers into 1180 beakers thanks to the huge known tech bonus on Philosophy and I upgraded a trireme to a caravel so we can find out whats in the dark next turn.
Our forces move in on Aurora Borealis. We'll have five Cats and nine Knights in place next turn. Then we bombard down to ~30% and one Cat sacrifice should get us ~90% odds for most of our battles.
We'll settle city 3 next turn, then 10 in a couple of turns, then probably 6 and 7. 12 is a long way from our galleys .
Demos and power

Yeah sorry Fintourist; it was always a "hi, I can help if needed" offer but there didn't seem to be a need - or at least the Tech thread got distracted by "retire to AI" mechanics and the original issue got lost.
On the plus side (for me), I can go back to lurking...

Yeah, it's been there for a while. We have two LBs and an Archer in the city and will be adding a Pike in two turns time. We've seen no change in dtay's navy (although he tends to play his turn before we log in so he could be stacking ships in the fog somewhere). I'm hoping his current military techs will be focused on Krovice. He doesn't stand to gain anything from fighting us and with optics and a Caravel or two I think we can keep a pretty good eye on his coastline.
I only realised that BGN was fighting an AI last turn , if its back to being Agent999 again now I guess there's nothing we can change so we just have to suck it up. Would the AI have got any production bonus on Monarch?
