Dtay keeps looking and looking, but as of yet, no Earth-shattering kaboom. In the north, meanwhile, more this...

You do have a couple spears in production, right? So if he doesn't attack now, he'll lose his chance?

Cany dedlurkers will note why he's avoided rumbling; no copper yet!

Wow, not a jungle in sight in his land. He'll probably research IW approximately whenever he wants to build knights.

Wow, did he agree to a map trade?
On the downside, his land is a lot more brown, but on the upside, it looks like he has access to a lot more of it, and he doesn't have to chop through any jungle to make it useful. Also, gems earlier than you. Hm, I guess on the downside again, his capital has only one food resource?? (I was wrong, there's a deer. Bubble didn't show for some reason.) And I'm not sure how he'd settle effectively for that silk cluster. Anyway, I am very excited to see the gem city start to come online. It's gonna need a wheelbarrow full of worker turns, but once it's working all those commerce tiles I imagine you'll be sitting prettier in the GNP department.
It looks like he has 6 cottages in his empire? Interestingly, most are clustered in the flood plains towns. I guess without a good second city to help grow capital cottages, he opted to build the cottage farm elsewhere? Do you have more than the 3 cottages around the capital?
I'm just doing my best out here.

Ahh. Yeah, in his shoes I'd be quite happy to have a peaceful border that's one city wide, and that city's on a hill. I note that his empire's not very vulnerable to the Sirian Doctrine, either .
His empire's even more lopsided than ours! Does he have jungle just to the south of his cap, or what?

Commodore can correct me if I'm wrong on this, but if I recall PB19 correctly Dtay didn't have any compunction about settling in a direct line in a given direction there, either. Given the cottages he has on those flood plains tiles already I can't say I blame him. The downsides of settling in a line like that are higher maintenance and defensive alignment problems. But if he's making up the maintenance difference in cottage profits (seems likely) and isn't having neighbor problems in that direction (who knows), he could be safe to make the "cool play" like this. Obviously we hope he has a neighbor down there who can exploit the long, long cultural front he has created, but this seems to be a big map so we'd be guessing to say how likely that is at this point.

Yeah, this is a sane map like a real world, so to the south is Tundroc goodness.
Whosit, nope, he's clearly winning the cottaging race. On the plus side, that's no financial bonus on 5 out of 6 of them.

That's the good news...two tiles east, there is green 2metraninja border.

In three turns, Blood Rites and Changes get settled. New food after that will be a definite challenge.
