Stuff happened:
Scout started 2S of current location; moving 1N revealed the bare Hill so there was no value moving NE with second move, so he headed to the lakeshore. Next turn should be E-NE onto the hill to defog that waterway.
Worker is on the Pigs; start Pasture next turn.

And so it starts ... my house networking is under way. I've installed the patch panel in the cupboard. Next steps will be to run some cable around to it and make some of the ports active. The patch panel is attached to the bottom of the shelf. The switch will sit on top of the shelf. The other equipment that will end up living there (wireless access point, sonos bridge) will sit on or beside the switch. Everything else (cable modem, vonage, etc) will be going in the basement ... but I have to install a plywood panel and tidy up the coax cables coming into the house. I'll post pics of that too.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Anyhoo...
Explorationising has been resumed:
Those are freshwater Clams, and if what I see past the Stone is Salt water then we are going to have a very nice foody city up here!
E-E seems to make most sense for next turn.
Pasture started on the Pigs.

Pasture started on the Pigs. E-SE makes more sense as 3E is a chokepoint.
Stone and Marble. Is anyone thinking what I'm thinking?

Reason I said E-E is that we can see that E and SE of the Stone is water and there's a suggestion that SSE might be another Mountain. I was thinking that we might be turning around again soon and we'll get more visibility North. But you're probably right to go onto the Stone instead.

Yeah I expect everyone has access to these resources. As you say it'll be a case of prioritising settling and also not just grabbing the techs, but settling to get the resources for the early Wonders.

Onto the stone is better ... less change of being locked onto having to move to a hill next turn.

Well this is an interesting map:
I wonder if he used some variant of the Erebus script to put in all these Mountains.
So we're heading back again; any thoughts on NE vs NW when we get there?
In domestic news we rolled the turn so I engaged the t15 secret micro plan and switched the tiles around. Pasture completes next turn.
Are we still thinking of going straight for Religion next, or grabbing something on the way?

Looks like Adrien didn't go Worker-first...
I'd like to explore the Marble but that'd be too costly in time; we can use a WB to scout there. On NE vs NW: in 3 turns the scout will end below the Plains Hill. So I say move it (1)NW and see what you uncover, before deciding.
