We've met a tasty new friend! Only four cities owned by HAK here, only a short work boat's swim away...
I offered a map trade, but it looks like the Portuguese might find them first.
Only a couple hundred worker turns and this is a spectacular city.

Nonsense! By my estimation, you only need about... 33 worker turns to hook up all the resources, and then 32-36 more for the rest! Easily under 100. :P

Well, a couple more turns have come and gone; this game is fast folks. The RNG decided the give us what for...so now there is a combat II barbarian axe out there in the fog. In what is no longer the fog, Mackoti landed the Pyramids in his hilariously excellent lands. Also: Gavagai nets Oracle, founds Judaism.
Our border is now locked down, ish. Dtay did annoyingly add a monument to his terrace here in Ursa Minor, so it'll be a while before those crappy desert tiles flip, and it's going to be a long long culture battle in general. But I'm content; these cities are working more cottages and watching the Incan hordes.
Also, we settled Changes, although the awful combat roll means that the city is under a mild existential threat right now. Still, for the nonce, here are the Dresden Dutch:
Yeah, I see a depressing lack of more places to grow to too.
Finally, though, HAK traded world maps with us before trashing our trade route incoming with a stupid scouting war. Here's the clumsy stitch:
Thoughts/commentary to come later.

I hope you have some more land prospects up north, otherwise you might have to acquire some land from the south sooner or later. But I'm guessing that because of the narrow border, it will be easy for dtay to defend, huh? Not sure if I have much else to say or contribute, but at least Blood Rising and Death Masks can support each other culturally.

I dunno, I see at least four sites I want to own: corn/dye, sheep island, clam island, horse/dye/fog. Maybe a fifth by the marble somewhere. And then we have fog.

You left off cow/marble! I guess I just was admiring the greener grass on HAK's side. Ah well. On the plus side, looks like we're getting the Death Axe on the front we can reinforce...

I labeled known locations of people and city counts seen as of this screenshot; Plako, Mackoti, and GermanJojo all settled more cities over the last turn and a half so it's a bit off. Still, it's a good general idea of where 9 of 11 of us are. Gawdzak (doing well) and Furungy (doing poorly) are elsewhere; this is a pretty natural map, snaky continents so they could be beyond Plako on our land or of on their own subcontinent(s). But this is most of the PB22 cast:
Going by our two known continents for groupings:
Z-land:
- Plako is probably the best off, depending on neighbor setup (but he's still 100% EP on us, so looks like he's alone up there). He's got a great civ, solid leader, Stonehenge, Buddhism, and a good "up-sea" position on his only near rival. I'm sure its tundra up there in many ways...hard to say for sure how he's doing.
- Dtay has excellent and huge lands, an amazing leader/civ combo, and his north border is a defender's dream. It's going to be a bit wild and wooly claiming against 2metra along the broad front, but Wang Kon of Inca is a good land claimer. His weakness is being between me and 2mn, neither one a pushover.
- Commodore has big tracts of great land deep under the jungle, and should get a good sea spread too. Our weakness are...jungle, and being on the No Pushovers Allowed continent in the middle position. Ow, Toku preserve us!
- 2metraninja is fine, no clue how much land he's got but he's Portugal and the weakest team in the game is a short hop across the pond for him. Just need to see if he uses his traits/civ right, or gets bogged in ragewar(s).
Seas World:
- Mackoti is owner of the Pyramids, a crapton of gold, silver, and large tracts of land. Couple that with his tasty HAK neighbor and controllable Gav, we can definitely write off this game right now.
- Gavagai is in goooood lands, with Judaism and Oracle, and some decent long-term potential in that leader. He's in a sticky middle spot, though, and looks to be facing some hammer shortages if he's not careful.
- GermanJojo is in Pitboss 8 Zulu position, but even moreso. And is Carthage!
- Hit Any Key has the Great Wall and HUGE VAST WOW lands...but ain't expanding hard.
- REM/AI is in Pitboss 8 Khmer position, but waaaaay worse. Oy this land sucks.

Has Mack played any game and not gotten the Pyramids?
For a more ambitious question, how do you rate your odds on being able to hop across those sheep/clam islands and pay a visit to Haklands?
