[SPOILERS] Elum & mackoti; the tiles are always greener on the other start...

Scouts already on the way back to defog the east. I like Stonehenge with us being IND. Its like we save hammers on something that will save us hammers! Also we've got furs and ivory nearby so happy is covered in the near term. It will be a big turn when BW finishes, can't wait.

Forgot to take a screenshot. The scout is out exploring new land again, I sent him out at 94hp and he has run into a wolf. Over 99% says I have it but I'll kick myself if he dies. Found some grassland sheep and some plains cows but I'm really just trying to find potential copper spots for when BW pops in 3 turns. Two civs have 2 pop, I am probably going to be bottom of the scoreboard initially with not growing. Short term I'm hoping to find a sweet first city spot with copper, build enough workers to keep up with spamming around 4 settlers as fast as possible and possible wonder building. Of wonder building the north east looks foresty as I guess the capital will burn it's forests on expansion. That changes if copper pops there though.

How many turns to setler?
very good plan ,if we have ccoper nerby we need to check if we have time for anytech beside mysticism before setler gets into position so can start on SH.

Settler due end of turn 22. BW is end of turn 19 and hopefully I will have scouted good enough by then to have found copper.

Any preference for scout promotions? I've just been saving it but after this wolf fight I might not stop to heal so may have to use it in an emergency. Is a medic scout very useful? Can they even get sentry?

I moved here hoping to peer around the forest to check for lions but then I saw silver gleaming in the distant hills. The scout came out from his last battle at 68hp so I decided to play it safe and stay put. My reasoning being settler first is only worth it if you can settle that city as fast as possible and with no warrior till the turn after it presents a significant delay if the scout joins the circle of life.

We have copper.




Not in a place which I think looks too promising. My worker is also out of position, I placed him ready to chop and good to go the other directions but this way he will be a turn behind the settler due to the terrain and the scout will behind also. Damn. Feeling like I didn't play this very well. I haven't played the turn yet as I have to select a tech and need to sim first in case that decision is effected by the settling location.

The other potential settling opportunities.

even is 1 turn later that is a very strong city.Setkle on plai hill and have cooper ,sheep and oazis i will say is good.I will say start on mystycism to start stnehenge asap and after fishing.

I had some screen shots but they didn't save or something but I am moving up to settle on the plains hill. Settler will waste a turn waiting for the scout but I think that is the best move. I'm trying to make my mind up about fishing next, seems not worth it as the fish = PHF when building a settler and without pottery there are no tiles to grow onto unless I want to mine a few but the worker investment of mining does not fit with a load of chop hammers probably going into settler/workers.

Is turn 46 too late for SH?

In a way it could be a good play, being IND and having just teched myst would scare most others away from it. The fail gold is at a generous rate also. But I fear being left without religion or SH and no way of border popping.

Turn just played.



I've been sandboxing SH and still don't have a conclusive plan. I think I'm coming to terms for the first time how involved every decision is in civ.

Here is my favorite.



What do you think of the turn time? The quickest I can do is t35 I think.

I'm quite enamored with mining those hills at the capital, with all 3 it could 5 turn settlers!


I need to stop ignoring the fish...
