I would have gone with " ISDG 2012 closed down - but you don't have to miss out on the experience!" but I approve either way.

Oh awesome. 2metra, you should get your other CFC buddies to read and comment on the RB thread. It's full of such wonderful comments for you all to read. Don't miss the stuff in the different threads, things got spread out quite a bit!

I didn't even know Seven had moderator powers around here.

That one had me laughing for several minutes and chuckling for most of the day.
And the Care Bear Stare is so yesteryear. Here's how we do that on the internet these days:

Can an admin not just lock this thread, what are we really hoping to achieve with all the bile posted here?

It's not that I personally care about civility all that much, although the lack of it in this thread is reaching appalling levels. You see, all this hate is making the children cry and had my neighbor's dog barking all night. I didn't sleep a wink. And now I'm going to have to take it out on everyone I encounter today because coffee just can't overcome so many haters hating. Pay it forward!
Maybe if some people stopped with the name calling and just reasonably flamed others about their misguided love of ponies or whatever the dog would stop barking? Don't worry about the kids, they'll eventually cry themselves to sleep. Their poor hearts can only take so much negativity before they get all worn out.

Well yeah we could but I'm not one for censorship. I've made my recommendation twice now, though. But I wouldn't be that disappointed if someone else did it.

We don't really do moderating on the RB forums. We can only hope that thoughtfulness triumphs over bitterness in the end through sheer force of will and numbers.

This was effectively Sullla playing, with a couple of other providing demos information and diplomacy. Differing opinions were ignored or even mocked, there was an unhealthy preoccupation with what CFC was doing, and the effects of our actions on how other teams would react weren't even considered. Eventually, everyone but the core handful of players was alienated and there was no one left to give any sort of time or effort to the game when those players quit.
Spot on. There was so little interesting stuff for the rest of the "team" to do that endless bickering and bitching about CFC was all that was left to fill our time. I made an attempt to discuss defences for the impending dogpile, spending a few hours marking up pictures and discussing options, but it was totally ignored (possibly because it was too little too late at that point - but more likely because I didn't have any kind of reputation in the team).
Not that I want to fan the flames, but I never saw how 2Metra coming to RB and asking us if we wanted to join the game he was setting up was provocative. I understand the rules discussion didn't pan out how we hoped, but from what little of that thread I could be bothered to read we didn't make a very convincing case (something about "well we've played fifty games now so we must be right" IIRC).
Also Krill wins the thread.

True, but they are definitely more likely to be better at it.
