[Spoilers] REM and AdrienIer's thread of football, spamming and blaming it on the mod

Yeah. 3 of them were due to finish a build anyway, but we can 1 turn more units next turn. I would say I can whip out at least another 6 units, and then the HAs too. I am working on all 1 movers being built so the stack is there turn 119. Anything else will be a HA/Chariot. A few chariots are worthwhile for pillaging duties.

Turn played, only one whip but many unit builds this turn. I suppose by your silence on the subject that you agree with going with machinery next ?

I thought about this a lot. I am unsure if honest. Machinary gets us crossbows, but with hatchwa they are fairly redundant. Unless we want to push onto enginneering straight away I think machinary is not the best choice.

But where else? Our cap isn't great for beuro, so it loses some appeal. CoL is nice but we aren't gonna build many CHs until after the war. The top of the tree is kinda out. So where?

Most utility I see is in either a push to engineering which will kill the eco or more likely COL-CS. So I actually think we should change to CS. (No maces without that either)

My reasoning was engineering for road movement, but it's probably more reasonable to go after CS

I would be happier if we had iron... Road movement and pike counters to numids would be awesome. Just for road movement is a little expensive for the utility, which going on the attack would would not have as much use for.

Played the turn and everything is in motion - I have a horrible feeling that this is all gonna go wrong. Whilst we are first in power they are managing to keep pace quite well. We will see perhaps the choke will help us and allow a decimation of their units using the hatchwa. Just need to whip harder for the units to break through! Probably should have planned to do this earlier in hindsight - but we will try to break through! smile

SoZ and GL went this turn, and there is a Gavagi/Gawdzek war.

We should also keep in mind that breaking the chokepoint is only the first step, GJ's enormous production will remain and we'll need far more units to break him, so extra movement will help our western cities contribute to the war effort. Also in case of defeat I intend to fight to the death. The solution could then to go after feudalism. In any case none of the techs available now are useful so we can definitely continue at 0% research for a while

Yeah I have set that anyway. Looking at his production though if we can hit and take his core I think he will struggle to make units against us. If we break through we can pincer his northern cities nicely with the HAs on a tile whilst the slow stack moves onto his cap - I think we need to push as hard and as quick as possible.

Yep. My main reason for optimism is that he has more cities to defend so his units are more spread out, and has more pop to artificially raise his power

Gavagai wants to say something there. I think he's as afraid of GJ's production just as we are. I accepted of course, we're not losing anything with it, and it allows us to get a swordsman out of MCG this turn.
