Anyone have experience with this? Is it any easier than PBEM?
Fall From Heaven Pitboss?

It's been done, and I don't remember it being technically difficult to do. It's probably only worthwhile for team games, though, since FFH isn't designed for simultaneous turns. PBEM makes more sense for a free for all style game.

I thought pitboss was individual turns like pbem or at least it could be. I thought the main benefit was that because it used a server you didn't have to cinstantly email saves

Yeah, that's what I meant about having to do sequential turns instead of simultaneous. Logging into a pitboss isn't much different from opening and sending a save.

Sequential pitboss no timer is as close as it gets, but I don't think its worth it - sure multiple people can be logged in and so on, but its more of a pain with loading the mod, places strain on the server, and runs into issues with connectivity/it/gamedown. Imo its superior for teams, but for a normal game pbem is simpler/arguably better anyway.

This is correct as long as the # of players is 6 or less, I would say pitboss is much better if you want to have more players.

The game removes temp summons at the start of the first players turn rather than at the start of each players turn. So players later in the turn order cannot use temp summons as defensive units while players early in the turn order can. Simul turns PitBoss has its own problems such as the player with the first half of the turn timer being able to keep enemy stack permanently Blinded.
