[spoilers] wetbandit's resumed trip to valuetown

1. Gawdzak - Inca
2. Donovan Zoi - Zulu
3. Retep - Mongolia
4. Luddite - India
5. Elkad - Sumeria
6. Wetbandit - UP!
7. GermanJoJo - On Deck
8. yuris
9. Grimace
10. Commodore
11. Thoth
12. Krill

There are seven civs left which fit my resources, in no particular order: China, Korea, Persia, Russia, Germany, Khmer, and Ethopia. With seven civs left to be taken, I'll be OK here.

Suffice to say I decided to take a strong ORG leader. I debated Hammy, JC, and Darius. The debate consisted of flipping some coins. JC won.

More initial impressions: not one fishing civ. Only one IND leader picked with 3 to go, I'm expecting AGG/IND from DZ or retep. Knowing how Gawdzak ranks the traits, I wouldn't be surprised to see PRO/IND from him.

Looks like a self-fulfilling prophecy to me. You'd still have the most popular ones if you chose any of these instead (and Julius went unclaimed):
3 EXP
3 FIN
2 SPI
2 AGR
2 PRO

If I picked the first leader, then does that make me the trendsetter? smug

Early impressions: would be fun to be the only IND leader, just not a fan of Khmer though. It's a good field, but I really don't want to start near retep. When you can make three-promo keshiks, you should/will.

T0:

As you might recall, we were faced with this start:

We did not pop BW, but instead got a map. lol pitbossaments.

I can't be too upset with the map because it revealed all this green and all this food. Scout heading towards the next hut on the spices, at which point we will certainly pop BW.

Poker theme again, writeups and such to follow this weekend.

Second hut also a meh result, but better than XP:

Scout to go north and slowly loop around.

Thoth popped a hut with his creative borders and got a tech.

Reports and analyses delayed due to actual poker playing yesterday, possibly delayed by work and head-banging finalizing my sim (seriously hate drawing rivers).

Found this hut end of T3 and on T4, found Commodore:

His scout is 12 tiles west of my capital. He moved first this turn and last turn, so good fortune for me. May beating him to his hut be the first of many future victories.
