Sorrow's Furnace Update

For those who may not keep up to date with the GuildWars website:

This link explains they plan to modify skill prices, aswell as ease of gaining skill points, and suggests you spend whatever skill points you have before the update. (Apparently buying skills will become more expensive)

http://www.guildwars.com/news/gameupdates.html

A note on that, best to buy skills from Non-City areas, as every skill on the main city trainers is availble from a quest.
"Main Cities" would be:
Ascalon
Yak's Bend
Lion's Arch
Quarrel Falls
Henge of Denravi
Amnoon Oasis
Droknar's Forge

This link gives an idea of what else to expect in the Sorrow's Furnace update:

Really want to see the new weapons. Here's hoping for shadow blades. =/
Of course, the rest of it sounds nice aswell.

Signing up for the Direct Song feature will apparently allow you to download the Sorrow's Furnace music for free.

All that said, anyone interested in setting up a group to go into Sorrows Furnace in the afternoon (or nighttime, or both) on the 7th?

Edit: Improved list of cities in which the trainers sell skills given in quests

You can buy multiple SoCs, and I recommend that, actually. Best to carry as many with you as you can find elites in the area you're headed. Saves alot of trips.

Best way of going about caps that I've found is to simply count up what elites you still haven't unlocked (and want to unlock) between your primary and secondary class, then buy enough signets to cover them all. Using them to aquire non-elite skills is cheaper (significantly so, after buying 50+ skills) but more of a hassle as you must find the boss that has the ones you want first.

Every profession has 15 elites so if you want to unlock all then it should be easy to figure out how many more caps you need.

I still need to unlock 3 elites total but no non-elites. GG has 2 caps, Cheddar has 3 caps and 12 unspent skill points...

It should probably be noted that an exception to that rule is the Conjure Flame skill on the elementalist tables, which is not available through questing, but is available through Firstwatch Sergio in Lion's Arch. Whether they plan to add that in a future quest update is anyone's guess. Not sure if there are any other skills that work that way.

Edit: I probably won't be able to go into the Furnace (or the Fow/UW for that matter) except on Fridays because of the amount of work involved and what my schedule has turned into. Possibly on Mondays, but that would have to be an afternoon game (around 1pm or so EST).

The monk skill Gaurdian seems to be that way. At least I havent found it in any quest on my monk. (Availblie from the trainer in Ascalon City)

Some more information on the update by IGN. Sounds rather interesting.

If it is that late in the day, I definitely won't be able to play there until Friday. Skimming (very quickly, I might add) through that link left me feeling a little uneasy though. They talked about it being so hard that most of them were at -60% dp, which means either they really stink (which is entirely possible since I probably have more hours logged with Remy than their entire team does combined), or it's going to wind up being like the area right outside Copperhammer where you have to fight 10x Arcanists and Melandru's Arrows wielding rangers. Either way, I'll definitely be going in with Remy first. Especially if we're going to need a group of 8.

Sounds like a nice bunch of changes:

I'm wondering though if they added new weapon designs to the game, or just these "unique items".. Guess we'll find out.
