For those who may not keep up to date with the GuildWars website:
This link explains they plan to modify skill prices, aswell as ease of gaining skill points, and suggests you spend whatever skill points you have before the update. (Apparently buying skills will become more expensive)
http://www.guildwars.com/news/gameupdates.html
A note on that, best to buy skills from Non-City areas, as every skill on the main city trainers is availble from a quest.
"Main Cities" would be:
Ascalon
Yak's Bend
Lion's Arch
Quarrel Falls
Henge of Denravi
Amnoon Oasis
Droknar's Forge
This link gives an idea of what else to expect in the Sorrow's Furnace update:

Really want to see the new weapons. Here's hoping for shadow blades. =/
Of course, the rest of it sounds nice aswell.
Signing up for the Direct Song feature will apparently allow you to download the Sorrow's Furnace music for free.
All that said, anyone interested in setting up a group to go into Sorrows Furnace in the afternoon (or nighttime, or both) on the 7th?
Edit: Improved list of cities in which the trainers sell skills given in quests
