Somone tell me how it pans out, since it seems to be a WinXP-only system for a game that runs on everything since Win98.

Blah.

Eh... to me that's nothing more than a glorified way of turning the music down and having Winamp (or whatever) running in the background.

IIRC, it's a service you have to pay for.

And a service, at that, that has DRM-ed its music to all hell.

So you couldn't even play the tracks in Winamp if you wanted, only Windows Media Player.

ON TOP OF THAT... it doesn't work even in WMP for me. I suspect it's because my privacy settings are too high or something, but I certainly won't change those for this.

In other words, my opinion of this is rather LOW. wink

Well, I got bored and downloaded the free mini pack for Sorrow's Furnace. Not bad so far. Considering how much protection is around it... I don't know that it's something worth keeping around.

If you have the rights for it, just burn it to CD. You can then rip it from there and do whatever you like with it. I did that with the purchasable soundtrack as it was cheaper than buying the collectors edition or from ebay at the time, and I love Soule's music. Too bad they didn't let on about it being shitty 128k WMV, "jitter-free" my arse...

Kinda funny they bother to put protection on the free pak...

Actually, latest winamps do support DRM, albeit a bit buggy if you try jumping around alot.
