[TECH] PBEM 65 Setup and Tech Thread

As a note, I've designed the starting island, so screen shot is available (all starts the same, just rotated), but nothing else is done yet. I've been working on a cylindrical setup where every player is isolated, but if toroid or flat (like PBEM 21's doughnut) are preferred that's fine. I'm looking at something certainly smaller than the *vast* recent spate of Pitbeese, but slightly larger than the 10 cities per player average as well.

And mine is RBMardoc at the same place.

Commodore, I don't think any of us are likely to second guess you about mapmaking.

My email is calebburney @ yeah.

I think cylindrical or flat would work best, preferring cylinder personally. +1 to what Mardoc said.

Do we want to see starts before picking? (I'd like to.) After which we might as well start picking.

I'll vote for seeing the start.

To start picking, we'll need a pick order - turn order reversed work? Have Commodore randomize which of us is first player/last pick?

Turn order reversed and then repeated, or turn order reversed and then doubled back upon?

I was assuming this one. I don't think that first in turn order is so awesome as to require you pick last both times.

+1. And, actually, I would prefer randomized. And yes to seeing starts.
