We'll see post 417 for thoughts on jowy who I think is scummy too.
The case on me seems to be I was the main one active and pushing today, if we don't have people talking and making cases the scum walks this.
Deadline is horrible time for me and going to sleep now. Lynch bob or if not jowy tonight please people. I have seen no other cases made on anybody worth a crap.

To stop the defacto deadline from really being 6:01 I will make 5:59 count as "in" and 6:00 count as "out" from now on. Forum clock will be the judge unless someone points off that it's off before the lynch.

Thanks for the lengthy response Jabbz.

...Of the three, I think the one that bothers me the most is Jkaen. He is (from what I can tell) by far the most aggressive and active person so far today. He latched on to Bob early, but his reasons for it, and the insistence that he dies tonight, are tenuous at best...
It seems to me that you think Bob is a likely candidate for scum, but you are also accusing Jkaen for pursuing him. Then you have Jowy as another candidate, for reason I think you summarised well, but he is Jkaen's second choice as well. So how should Jkaen be playing today?
Quote:Jkaen: Given my impression of Bob this round, and the efforts of some to pull the vote away from him, I think Jkaen is very worried that others are going to decide he doesn't need to die today. Given my analysis above, I don't understand that dedication to him swinging today. My concern is that we may be led by our nose here.
If your impression of Bob is that he is a good option for a lunch, why is Jkaen's behaviour odd?
If you think someone is a wolf, doesn't it make sense to hang them today as Jkaen is arguing? Each day they are around they are able to help swing the votes, and each night they can get up to who knows what mischief.
Quote:JMW told us that the wolves can talk to each other during the day, so that means Jkaen could be operating with a lot more information than the rest of us, and setting a townie up to burn.
Couldn't this line apply to any of us, on any case?

Quote:especially as he was already under some duress when he first claimed.
I was? I'd have to double-check, but I think I claimed before anyone even cast a D2 vote on me. Given that I only almost swung on D1 because of a dogpile that materialized literally in the last ten minutes & the case against me was essentially "he's too nonchalant" , I wouldn't exactly describe my claim as being made under "duress".
Quote:His claim on Novice is based only on Novice placing a vote against him. There is no analysis to support it, just a “fine if you want to vote for me, I’ll vote for you.”
Clarification / correction: It's more "if you want to vote for me with uncharacteristically poor reasoning, I'll vote for you."
Although I'm also pretty tempted to vote for Zak for his repeated suggestions that I'm just parroting stuff I read on the mafia wikia, like some sort of neophyte or child.
Quote:Jowy swaps around from vote to vote pretty rapidly so far this day.
You certainly aren't the first person to make it, but this is a really awful version to vote for anyone. Villagers should absolutely feel free to toss votes around however they please, up until they cast the only one that counts. To argue otherwise is to encourage people to obstinately latch on to targets and calcify into lynch blocs, which shuts down villager's ability to apply pressure at-will and be difficult for the scum to predict. I only get a mild town read from Jowy, but "he makes too many votes" is just a terrible case to make against him.
Not going to respond to all of the other blather about me, I've already explained why I revealed when I revealed, what my role is, and how the former is irrelevant to the policy lynch and/or scum crowd. Plus I'm trying to hold firm to my resolution to not over-engage in the game, and the combination of bastard role + limp village is sapping my interest something fierce.

You're certainly holding firm with that promise Bob! My problem is not with your postcount, I know you said you had limited time in the signup, or even particularly with your role, which is entirely in keeping with the mad machinations of MJW. It's the facts that,
A: The timing of your reveal ensured it would be a discussion point for Day 2, but meant you were still a threat to the village on Night 1. And your explanation for this timing was,

Based apparently on past game experience, with no consideration of the specific situation this game. That seems sloppy for you.
B: Your own engagement Day 2, shorn of your roleclaim and defense, boils down to:

That's about on par with BaII for usefulness. You've made no response to further questioning about your reads, you've made no comment on the other cases, and by voting Novice you are currently ensuring that your vote is effectively dead, barring a sudden mafioso slip from him in the next three hours. You're the one being limp, not the village as a whole.

No interest in a lurker lynch? If not, I prefer to lynch Bob.
If you know what I mean.

I've been seriously considering voting for BaII because of his complete absence but I have to sleep now so I wouldn't be able to change my vote if he comes back and explains everything. I have some bad feelings on some people but I can't find strong enough evidence on anyone. So I'm staying on Bob for this day.

I might could vote for BaII, I would prefer him to Bob. Jowy's rubbed me the wrong way more than anyone though.

Given Bob's latest posts I think we should just lynch him sooner rather than later. I'm willing to give Jabbz another day to find his footing. I could also lynch BaII, but someone vigging him would be an excellent alternative.
Apart from that I don't see many options. I guess my next suspect is Goreripper, he feels somewhat circumspect. And even after a 24 hour gag order he seems content to observe. I don't think we should lynch Jkaen or Jowy.
I have to run.
