cease fires are semi pointless. They just stop the war with no other impacts. A peace treaty locks both teams into 10 turns of peace.

Offering a cease fire does hint that he has other units around ready to 'take advantage' of any exposed unit.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

So Adrien doesn't have Horses hooked up duh:

So it's safe to settle. The situation as of now:
Adrien's Axe is C2 Shock, our Axe only has C1, so he'll have slight odds if we blockade 1W of sheep. His spear is slightly wounded.

Things to keep an eye on in Elum-land:

Which is a good sign that he's not rushing to settle the north. (That's an Axe+Spear.)

Also, hovering over the resources gives:

So he's settled on the 111 tile W of the top grassland cow; no sign of any city south of that.

We should declare on Adrien so that he can't move a settler up and bump us.

Work firewall is blocking the pictures and my phone won't download them at the moment rant, but it sounds good.

Can we keep our Axe and Workers, etc. out of the way of his Axe until the Chariot gets there from TP? It won't be able to get back home, so we'll probably want/need to kill it as soon as we can.

No Horses is great news as it means we have defensive odds once we've settled the city - we should probably take a survey of who has what connected.

If you're playing the rest of the turn, we can probably switch full EPs back to Adrien. I think we're around the break-even spot with CH now and Elum hasn't spent on us for a while. I don't think we need to try to get Grimace or johns' graphs since they're a fair distance away.

I think that we want to scrap the Galley build in The Hub for now; we'll need garrison units for both of these Northern cities. Could we us the overflow to 1t a Barracks there and then finish the Chariot? The urgency for a Spear is gone now we know Horses are missing from Adrien's stock.

Argh, not being able to see the pictures is very frustrating!cry

ipecac e-mailed me the pictures (= unproductive morning at work).

Not sure what you think the danger is here? We're in a turn split and he's first, so he can't move up and Settle. He could only found on the Desert or the Wine and found next turn. Ah, just realised that the screenshot shows the Settler unmoved; it will be on the "chokepoint" spot before the end of this turn, so he only has 1t to move before we found.

Elum has at least one city to his North (our south)

Also, our economy is in the tank: At 0% research, Grimace has 47 gpt, elum 63(!). No one else we know has currency.

Misc:
-Elum has currency and there was a gold for maps trade with Adrien. They both don't have access to horses (!)
-Elum also needs to get stone and build the pyramids for us. He and johns don't have stone or marble
-Adrien completed Moai
-CH didn't capture as we thought but razed city from johns.

I'm wondering if that could be Grimace; we know he's around somewhere, and this area would make sense.

CH/johns was likely a settling race like our current one; CH razed & replaced on his chosen spot (or the same spot for an auto-raze).

Weird about Horses; I could have sworn that they both had them previously. We've confirmed they're not trading them directly, but I wonder about 3rd parties.

Unless Adrien plays soon it looks like we're going to need a pause this time for real; the turn is already due to roll early for my usual play window, and I'm heading out for dinner with my Wife tonight so my window is moving later. Unless you can play, ipecac, in your morning (don't know how your morning schedule works)?

It'll be difficult especially if we have to consult. I can do it if necessary; the plan for T95 is ready.

With PP, we're still getting the Library out by whip (also to pop borders) but I've scrapped the specialists plan, instead growing on cottages.

Oh, OK. Are you thinking of pushing for a GSci somewhere else, or delaying it until our economy's in better shape?
