Cease Fire would let us "give the Worker back" as I'd previously suggested, with a Peace Treaty we could chop that forest ourselves and then use it as a scout before letting it be recaptured (if we decide to take that route). Peace Treaty would also allow us to do all our Worker actions without guards. I was leaning Cease Fire, but now I'm leaning Peace Treaty.
What do we do if he moves the Spear away, but advances the Axe? I assume we kill it and re-offer the Cease Fire.
Is that a Peace Treaty nod, a Cease Fire nod, or an "I don't know" nod?

Is that a Peace Treaty nod, a Cease Fire nod, or an "I don't know" nod? Peace will be best, but if Adrien is not willing Cease Fire is fine.

Time for war, lurkers!
Adrien has moved up the Axe in the NW (C2 Shock 4.7/5.0), Spear fortifies in place (C2 3.4/4 5% fortify bonus), new Axe (C1 Shock) moved in from the East.
We should kill the Axe in the West with Southern Chariot (no promos, 3xp), if necessary mopping up with Axe (C1, 3xp) (or worst case scenario Chariot (no promos, 3xp) 1W of ZIF). Axe 1S of ZIF should kill spear and our Axe 1E (C1, 3 xp) of ZIF should promote to shock and cover it. If worst case scenario did not earlier occur the Chariot 1W of ZIF should move to Gold hill as a sign to Adrien to screw off.
On the East side, we have a situation: Adrien is trying to chop another of our forests Dreylin, with 2 more workers within range of amphibious attacks, you're going to have to talk me out of taking 3 workers off Adrien :
Our warrior can easily take out one of the workers. If we want the second, we change build to Axe this turn, T98 whip, eot 99 galley pops and T100 we take out both eastern workers.

I say we grab the first worker and use it to chop first. If Adrien continues to be an ass we snipe his second worker that's trying to chop our forest, and chop it ourselves. Sniping a third worker might turn this into a grudge match; I also agree that we should also return the worker if we capture one, but only one if we capture two.

Agreed with this plan.
The other Workers ... there's nothing we can do this turn, but I agree that we should switch to put a turn into an Axe and give ourselves the option of whipping the pair out over 2t.
We're not short of Workers ourselves tbh, but denying them to him is reasonable.

One more thing: given the turn order when our galley completes at eot he'll get to see it and move first before we can amphibiously attack, right?

I just want to say, as the token ded-lurker in this thread, that I just went from very nervous to very excited about the state of the network.
However, where are the praets? Does adrien not have iron hooked up yet? This seems like a scary - or perhaps very necessary? - fight to be picking early-game.

Well we're still dead last in most of the demographics, but we've got our own confidence going on here so who cares about that!
Praets have been tweaked in RtR so they're back down to the cost of a Sword and lose 1 strength - so a set of well-promoted Axes can take care of them quite comfortably. No Iron yet that we've seen, although he may have recently discovered Iron Working. (we're being much more thorough about surveying our neighbours strat resources since we made the assumption that Adrien had Horses hooked ... and then discovered that not only did he not, but that Elum didn't either!
ipecac played half the turn earlier; the War is on.

Bah - normal Praets can be handled with axes.
I too agree with the war plans as outlines. I would whip the galley first (providing that we can double whip it or have enough hammers to finish the axe next turn) to scare off those workers. I don't think that we want a drawn out war ... just a 'don't mess with the network' or 'look out for the firewall' situation.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

If we whip the Galley this turn, we only have enough overflow to 1t the Axe if we switch working one of the Clam to a Workshop - which seems a waste. If we whip it next turn then we have plenty to do that. Or we switch to the Axe this turn and can whip either the turn after overflowing into the other. I favour this latter to keep our flexibility.
