[Spoilers] REM and AdrienIer's thread of football, spamming and blaming it on the mod

First look into the game, I took the offer.

And then OMG I didn't see that coming.

I'm tempted to accept. But I really want your opinion, this is buying us 10 turns, his navy is currently better than ours due to his new shiny caravels, we're bound to lose this war at this moment. With some turns to rebuild our stack maybe he'll have a harder time ?

I dunno. Are we just giving him 10 turns to build cats though, and some free gold to do so with? We are never gonna win a naval war here - we aren't gonna hit optics anytime soon. I'm not convinced we can get a huge amount more soldiers in 10 turns but I know they can get some cats and waste a decent stack defending MCG.

Also he clearly feels there is something to gain from that offer. I can't see it but he does. I would probably say no. But as you have been the player the last 50ish turns you have the final call dude.

Ok I answered with 10t of peace and no gold. Also the Gavagai world map offer could be a sign of help from the north (I severely doubt it). Maybe GJ wants to finish off Furungy (or at least his capital with enormous culture) and doesn't think he can fight a 2way front effectively ?

I don't know if GJ will take San Siro, finish off the defences of MCG before attacking, or attack this turn. I somehow like our stack, considering we were basically at 0 units not so long ago. It's quite possible that HAK, currently attacked on both sides by Gavagai and Donovan Zoi, will die before us.

We lost a city, I hope it's San Siro and not MCG

As do I! Let us wait and see what it was. There wasn't much in SS so he likely would have sent a few Knights to take it quickly I guess. If we lost MCG then we are going to be overrun very fast!

GJ still hasn't ended turn, and I can't play tomorrow before deadline, you'll have to play this turn I think. Just assume I don't have a plan for anything except building lots and lots of units on the mainland, keeping Moai city big to use the hammers (only for the fun, not sure it's the best idea). In the north I've been evangelizing everything with great enthusiasm, but I don't have a plan either. I was considering keeping the barb city on the copper, it has access to rice and wheat. But it might be a stupid idea because I thought about it for less than half a second.

I opened to SS being razed and the same offer of peace for 200 gold. Looking around I thought we could make a fight of it until I exited the screen and saw all the roads razed and that we have no workers left on the mainland, they are all over on the other side. If we had a couple of workers in MCG I would have tried to move our defence back next turn, but as that army is now totally isolated and we have no cata to attempt a stack hit we are royally screwed. Every other city on the mainland we will struggle to keep. The best we can do is move the knights onto the road network next turn and see what we can achieve.

So I reoffered the peace deal as proposed (after a cheeky numid kill) and will await his response. Will send a message actually to let him know he can jump in and accept if he wants.

In better news - new barb city! And 2 free workers.

Did you do anything besides killing the numid ? Anything visible to them ? It seems a weak reason to suddenly refuse peace

No I just killed the 1 Numid before realising that we had no workers around. But I think that we want the peace shows how weak our back line is and that we can't respond properly.

I headed back in after that to do a lot of whipping, and upgrading warriors. Also we will lose our iron in. 2 turns, I begged for some from Gavagi and Donovan zoi. Next turn is our last definitely with iron.

Lost a knight trying to kill the other Numid before killing it and one to kill the one on top on SS ruins. The play here is to see where that main stack goes and try and get some of our units back on the road network. I want to move half the pikes out next turn to where only he Knights can hit them, as long as if we lose RB his main stack can't hit.

Knights will cover MCG and move onto the road network the turn after. We should be in place then to counter a hit on the cap, but not to reinforce it. I'll look next turn to see whether we have enough to keep the cap.

Pulled all except 1 lb from SC too.

Note that they have astro in 4 turns. Changed all the northern cities to longbows. No need for libraries now!
