[PB22 Spoiler] Joey and Borsche puke on the funny pages

T166.

Finally got a view of what Furungy's been hiding... and its basically nothing. It's a defensive position, through and through. He has hardly whipped at all during our peace, and he's chosen to build a walls+castle here in Nidaros, clearly the sign of a man that more interested in holding onto what he has rather than taking back what he's lost. As for me, I've already got walls built in the former Vikings cities, with enough pikes/longbows to hold my position. We seem to be at a stalemate, at least until I've got enough Galleons to bypass this choke. I want that island city of Vasteras, but I'd rather not declare war here until I've got peace with Korea.

OTOH, an interesting opportunity is developing down in Korea. First of all, they turned down my offer of peace for 200 gold and sent back a white peace offer - unacceptable. I razed a town for ~75 gold, and I'll get another next turn. I'll also have the option to raze this little feeder city, depending on how they play things. If they're not careful, they'll soon find that they've exposed their core, with their main army completely cut off from reinforcements. I've got a bit of a crazy plan here... I wonder if I can pull it off?

Power graphs. I topped 1M soldier points this turn!

Busy today, still sick but back at work, just time for a quick update. REMAI left San Siro defended by a lone Longbow, so I took a go at it. First attack was with a C2 Knight, which took a FLAWLESS LOSS at 32.7% odds. rant Next was another C2 Knight, which also lost but at least did 3 hits of damage on the little bastard. Finally, a third C2 Knight, with a free promo, got a flawless victory and took shock to cover its ass. Two numids then razed the camp+road on the deer, probably sacrificing them but at least protecting the Knight, while the rest of my stack smoked the town on the sugar. I think I netted about ~160 gold this turn? Anyways, I sent another Peace for 200 gold offer; if they don't accept this one, and don't attack out at great success, I have a series of nasty surprises in store for them...

I started 100%ing Astro this turn, which makes my GNP look pathetic - Astro is one of the only non-starting techs that gets no prereq bonus (the other one is Divine Right) and I get no KTB either. I've started inserting galleys in my build orders so that they'll auto-upgrade in queue. Between that tactic and cash upgrading galleys, I should have around a dozen galleons in 4-5 turns or so.

Commodore and Plako both threw GA and switched into Free Market. Gavagai threw his hat in on HAK - I guess he was just waiting for HAK to burn all his units defending Donovan. I checked his city of Deliverance with a Caravel, and, while he did have a Knight visible, it does not appear that he'll backstab REM and Adrien at this time.

Flight also lacks an arrow bonus.

lol

What is really funny is I reread the quote without looking at the name and my first thought was "Ceil's wrong, there's nothing to fix." To be fair, I WAS thinking I was totally nobling GJ when I responded but I figured I would let Noble off the hook just this once. popcorn

lol, Boldy, he's talking about something from my PB18 thread, you'll get to enjoy that drama in a few years time, when that game finishes. lol

Naw, it was just the name. I try pretty hard to avoid cross contamination. Even when I have to pass on taunting you about repeatedly attacking PRO guys!

in other news, I got a PM from REM this afternoon:

REM Wrote:Hey

I refused the offer to have a look at the damage of the preceding turn and am happy to accept those terms after looking. If you want the deal valid from this turn then you are welcome to re enter the game and accept the treaty.

I sent this reply:

GermanJoey Wrote:Alright, I'll log in to check when I get home from work. I will also re-check the situation; if I send back the same offer, I will let you know so that you can play next turn any time you want. (I will obviously not move or do any other actions other than that, of course, as it is still your half of the timer until the turn rolls)

I took a look and the tricky rats sniped a Numid yet were trying to pretend that they just re-sent the offer. rant More importantly, they did NOT attack out, which was my only fear when I sent the offer to begin with. They would not have been able to wipe the stack - quite the opposite, actually - but I would not have been able to capitalize on the opportunity since I don't have a Great General medic in this stack. Half dead Knights don't really trade well with CG2 Longbows, y'know? Anyways, since my stack will be intact next turn, I now have the chance to pursue some more... deviously flavoured tactics. My reply:

GermanJoey Wrote:Hey, I took a look and it looks like you changed the situation a bit from when I sent the offer... I'm sorry to say, but we are still at war and still in a turn split.
