Anyway, yeah I got town/town :/ Not that it matters, for today I get to help the scum in an entirely unique and fascinating way - by becoming the instant topic of the day for them to dump votes on

I'd...rather not share why I rejected roleblocker, specifically. But I will say this: in one of my most recent games (not on this site) I rolled a boosted-jailkeeper (they also got to neighborize the people they jailsd) and honestly it wasn't a role I enjoyed much. Not only was RB a repeat of that - in a game packed with roles - it was a weaker version, and it's one that has significant downsides (I've never been very good with difficult roles, day 1 in that game I jailed our only cop thinking they were scum). So yeah, I chose against it.

Bobchillingworth, you were offered a chance to repeat last game, why wouldn't you take it?

Jowy discarding mafia tracker -> probably a mafia going for a gambit (getting town points from ditching strong mafia role), or got even a better mafia role (godfather / ninja etc.). I don't remember if Jowy's played mafia side yet, but seems like a guy who'd like it

I love playing scum, it's so much fun. But town is more of a challenge on this forum, and tracker is kind of a weak role for mafia.

I don't really buy the challenge comment. Have you ever played scum in here? Anyways, you still got me halfway in your pocket

@Meiz: I believe you are scum who was afraid to die with a townie.

Oh no, the only thing I was afraid of was getting double mafias, and luckily it didn't happen. Simply put, I really dislike playing on the mafia side.

I don't think discarding innocent child is a particularly out of character move for town Lewwyn. Innocent child is a passive role, and I think Lewwyn would happily trade up for one that gave him more agency.

@Meiz If you think Novice prefers playing as town, then why do you think he threw away the doctor role?

No idea on that. I just know that he didn't enjoy the scum game too much when we were a scum team. And he played scum the last game as well.

Brick's announcement puts further suspicion on those who rejected the good town roles, since it's possible they would have thought their rejection would remain a secret (and thus not worry about being lynched day 1 for rejecting the role).

That's a possibility, however I'd hate to meta that too deeply. For example, if most of the complaints came from mafia / SK's, maybe Brick wouldn't bring it up on public like this since it would directly point to that.

Sorry, Qg, but that's a pretty bad post, too elaborate and all. You are usually one of the first guys to post on the game threads, with jokes and all. This post + that fact + BRick's announcement makes me think you are a wolf.

Sure, though basically everything at this stage is playing meta on some level until we get actual reads.

This one doesn't really make a difference though, since I think we should go after the power-role rejectors anyway. All the announcement does is potentially provide an explanation for why fear of day-1-lynch wouldn't stop people from rejecting powerroles, so slight increase of suspicion on the people I already think we should be suspicious of.

Too elaborate on why I think Qg post is too elaborate, I don't seem to recall him using things like "I'd..." (writing the same as if he was speaking), or italics and the all caps on some words. It seems like you've spent time crafting the post, which usually is a wolf tell, I think.

I think vanilla cop is a good role on this setup, as it helps you eliminate roles. Seems like we have a ton of rehected vanillas, though, so maybe I'm wrong there.

Fenns comment at the start about voting someone for their position in the list just felt really weak- justifying overmuch.

Dtays comment about lynching those who rejected power roles seems quite flawed, really - sure there might be some scum among them, but there's also likely to be the best town roles. I don't think we want to draw those into the open - certainly not this early.

Jabbz for discarding Mafia goon for a mafia power role

Lol. That would be some luck. No, I was actually quite happy to get a mafia goon role, as it made it easy to turn down. First game I played here was mafia goon, second was traitor. It will be nice to see the light side for a change, even if they don't have cookies.

As for the role tosses I find odd.

Lewwyn - Innocent Child - Though I do buy the argument that it is a passive role, so assuming his other option wasn't vanilla town or some of the trashier roles, I could understand why he might not like it.

Novice - Doctor -Hell of a role to throw away, especially if you consider yourself good at reading into things, which Novice appears to. What would it take to throw that away, except for maybe the obvious mafia choices.
Twinkletoes89 - Hider - This role just looks fun as hell to me, especially combined with doctors (he obviously wouldn't have expected Novice to get GF and throw away town doc) There are just a lot of opportunities for this role to have significant impact on the game.
Ichabod - Backup Doctor -At least a somewhat questionable role to toss. Has the potential to be pretty impactful late game.

Basically those all are roles that I would want to keep, so I find it suspicious that they would be tossed. The most obviously suspicious one however is Novice
