WW35: Not Another TPS Report [Game Thread]

I'm a cop, obviously. Also busy atm.
I have to run.

[Day one LYNCH! Day one LYNCH! Day one LYNCH!]

Lynchpocalypse is coming, my friends. It comes for us all in the end, but today? Today it comes for me.

Anyway, yeah I got town/town :/ Not that it matters, for today I get to help the scum in an entirely unique and fascinating way - by becoming the instant topic of the day for them to dump votes on smile

I'd...rather not share why I rejected roleblocker, specifically. But I will say this: in one of my most recent games (not on this site) I rolled a boosted-jailkeeper (they also got to neighborize the people they jailsd) and honestly it wasn't a role I enjoyed much. Not only was RB a repeat of that - in a game packed with roles - it was a weaker version, and it's one that has significant downsides (I've never been very good with difficult roles, day 1 in that game I jailed our only cop thinking they were scum). So yeah, I chose against it.

Bobchillingworth, you were offered a chance to repeat last game, why wouldn't you take it?

Scummy post.

1. Victim card.
2. "I'll go nicely." (easiest town persona to mimic)
3. Mumbo jumbo about his role. (I expected him to just say that his other role was stronger, but he almost seems to hint at the opposite.)
4. Joke vote to leave no trace.

Later posts may be better, but this one was pretty terrible.
If you know what I mean.

Mattimeo because he usually survives quite long (can get lot of uses out of his role) and finding an SK is a top-priority ( reducing nightkills is good).

My bad, I misunderstood vanilla cop. Reasonably useful, but plenty of things worth throwing it away for.

Q babes, which roles do you think are better than roleblocker?

I'd like to add to the Mattimeo pressure too. FBI agent allows for awesome roleplay, and more importantly, is the only surefire way of discovering a serial killer. There are roles I'd switch it for, but not many. Plus Mattimeo is silent and deadly like a cobra when he's scum, so I'd like to hear from him early.

Q are you actually claiming to have got town/town? Like for reals?

Pressure on Mattimeo is good. Not sure it would be a great idea to role play FBI agent, though...

Hm, cop is one of the few roles I'd take over doctor, and if Novice telling the truth it means he didn't have any choice but to discard a town power role and look scummy doing it.

Then again, it's what he'd have to claim if he was scum anyway, and it's a little more likely that he rolled a scum role than one of the 3 cops. Plus I don't like him claiming cop so early in the day, there shouldn't be any risk of getting hammered just off of discarding Doctor.

If he's town then it's pretty obvious to the mafia that he's a cop. So no real harm in claiming it.

Now we all know that he needs protection and we can delay his lynch until we have some cop results to go with it.

Certainly nothing wrong with him claiming when he did. It's not like it was a mystery what the claim was. Like Zak said, if novice is town then his real role was plenty apparent to scum, and if he's scum that's all he could realistically claim having rejected doctor.

Novices response seems basically a (the only?) town one imo. He'd probably say the same if he's mafia, so he still has a decent background probability of being scum, but has not further incriminated himself in any way in my eyes.

I'm like delaying that lynch, either he gets nightkilled soon (if we have no protection) or provides enough somehow-verified clears or buses that we believe the role.

Is it an insane possibility to consider lynching a claimed cop 3-4 turns after they claim just to see if we can believe the investigations they announced over that period?

Anyway, now to Lewwyn

That makes sense, town Novice would have to be a cop from the Mafia's perspective. Might as well claim early to get it over with I suppose.
