It could make sense for either of them to lie, I guess, but Novice has certainly been the scummiest of the three.

Wow. Missed a lot while putting that post together. Matt's claim kind of changes things a bit. At least one of them is lying. As someone else said, Qg is taking a huge risk lying about cop, as he is under a lot of scrutiny right now. Matt claiming to be a cop is suicide if he isn't, as we are now going to lynch one of the cops, and if we lynch a legit cop, he is likely toast. There's a possibility of a Town Cop/Lover role. So we could actually have 3 cops.

Novice will likely claim it.
Either way, I'll vote Novice. The fact he claimed using:
"I'm a cop" -> instead of the actual role (town cop/ town cop/lover, vanilla cop), seems adequate to later suit your claim to whatever has the most chances to stick.
And I'm not sure if one would go cop/lover over doctor. Perhaps, but not so much as just cop.

Most likely all 3 are scum and try to sacrifice one to get huge town-cred for the other 2.
