I think something must have stressed Lewwyn out to scum things up so badly in the middle of day one. If so, it almost has to be the wagon on Jabbz.

You don't think that Lewwyn was just baiting (successfully) the cop scan? I think the connection to Jabbz is tenuous, though possible.

I don't think he would scum it up deliberately. He's pretty likely to be scanned early, regardless. And there's no rush to get scanned, if he can just avoid suspicion instead. He also took no stance on Jabbz, ignoring that wagon. Instead, he tried to get something going on Ichabod, and when that backfired, doubled down on Q.

Q, you should have claimed to be blocked. Leave the scum thinking we have a jailer. smile Oh well.

I still suspect dtay. He's playing under the radar, he made a lot of meta posts (except when there was the novice/matt/Qg situation - which I guess can be just that he was offline) and I more than one time he made "self accusing posts", which is a bit strange/suspicious, considering he's not posting much.

I honestly would have switched my vote to Jabbz had I been up, I felt like it would have been the safe play to get scans from all 3 cops (possibly of each other) which would help us pick right. Plus the mafia might kill 1 of the 3, further improving our odds. Anyway, we obviously picked right and got the liar, so now I'm pretty convinced the other two are town or this is the mother of all gambits.

And Lewwyn attacked me when I was messing with dtay. Perhaps Mafia-Chicken Lewwyn was placing Lil'-Chick-Mafia dtay under his wing while famous-and-veteran hunter Ichabod was after him.

I'll have to reread, but that's the thing that still comes to my mind. So, let's give it an oomph.

Dtay

I give Jkaen a town read because of his vote for Jowy very early in the game.

@Zak:

I...didn't even think of that. duh Well, maybe the jailer decided not to listen to me... Anyway, we can't be sure.

Still, I doubt that we can pass everything that Lewwyn did as "wanting to be scanned" - he nearly got lynched day 1, after all.

In light of Lewwyn's flip, I think it's a good bet that he wanted to be scanned by a cop on N1 - this would both validate his town-ness and cast doubt on people who expressed suspicion of him. Looking through his posting history:

-Early Finger of Suspicion on Ichabod, and "Ichabod is definitely on my radar" (post 180)

-Post 194: More Ichabod, doubting his reasoning for voting Q. Then claims Q is scum based off of his desperate tone

-zak goes after Lewwyn early on; however I don't think this fits in with a "appear scummy and get cleared later" GF strategy, and his arguments are on point, so most likely genuine scumhunting from zakalwe.

-Back and forth with Meiz on Lewwyn's criticism of the Ichabod/dtay exchange, Lewwyn adamant that Meiz is twisting his words. Later (post 354) Meiz is still "strongly in favor" of a Lewwyn lynch.

-Post 409: Lewwyn decideds Meiz is scum (and zak is suspicious too for going after him); compares the Q and novice cases and settles on novice being more scummy for his lack of activity. At this point novice has 6 votes to Jabbz's 5 (Q has just 1 vote), so his lynching is a definite possibility. Lewwyn votes Meiz.

-Post 414: Lewwyn's suspicions on Ichabod are alleviated after Ichabod's Post 205; once again claims Meiz and zak are scumbuddies.

-Post 419: Finally he votes novice on the basis of Matt's cop claim. Still just 6-5 for novice at that moment but novice was for the high jump after Matt's claim.

Ah, you expected to be in trouble today? neenerneener Can't blame ya, ignoring both wagons on confirmed scum yesterday makes you look pretty bad today. There wasn't much hunting or meaningful interaction either.
Could you please explain your vote on Jabbz yesterday? Just asking since it was your only vote that mattered but there was no explanation for it included.

In the scenario where Lewwyn was hoping to get scanned and cleared at some point, which would retroactively lend credence to him and his arguments, this gives town points to zak and especially Meiz for me. Their interactions with him would be viewed in a different light if Lewwyn was scanned as Innocent. Ichabod and Qgqqqqq as well appear townier after this. I'm quite certain that Q is town; possibly a Serial Killer among the others but I do not think they are Mafia now.

Won't have a ton of time today or tomorrow but can intermittently post (traveling sat-mon).

Don't think Ichabod's arguments are very good, feels like forcing a case after being setting it up by being wishy-washy on day 1. It looks weird if you put those 3 sentences next to each other, but they happened admist a whole lot of other (sometimes long-ish) posts over 48 hours. And more importantly, are well, accurate descriptions of what I was talking about at the time. It would seem to me to be more suspicious to NOT mention them. Particularly the double-scum one, since people were actively making that mistake I recally early on day 1. Actually, I didn't even really explicitely mention myself in that one, so not even sure it counts as a self-accusing post.

Re: Lew, that's not how it happened. Lew didn't really defend me while you were attacking. He retroactively went back and said your attack was suspicious. It feels a lot more equivelent to a mafia trying to come up with any case he can than defending the relevant person under suspicion (since I wasn't even remotely under threat at the time of Lew's posting).

I need to reread day 1 to really have day 2 reads given how informative the night was, but have to do it on my phone in airport so is gonna take a bit.

Ichabod takes a hit in my eyes for above bad arguments, but then he has a fair town buffer cause of the lew/ichabod fight on day 1 so atm I doubt he's scum.
