But you've proven my point. It took people explaining it for you to see its value. I had the same initial reaction and saw it as pretty weak and risky.

Now we've gone into the possibilities of how it could be potentially awesome, it seems like people are expecting me to have though of all that on my own before the start.

I viewed it as pretty strong right from the start. There is a very reasonable chance you viewed it the same, and instead with with a strong mafia role. There is also a chance you didn't see its strength, and instead chose a weaker mafia role over it. I agree it's not a lot to go on atm however. That is why my suspicion of you dissipated all through day one. Now it's back on you because your voting patterns are very suspicious.

I voted for Q and I justified it. Many others also voted for him.

Q claimed and I wasn't prepared to risk losing a power role. Many others came to a similar conclusion.

I voted for you as the least bad option between you and a possible cop.

I don't see this as out of the ordinary or particularly incriminating. Others, such as Jkaen, gave less justification or were prepared to take greater risks than I was.

I don't mind getting heat. I mind being singled out whilst noone else gets any pressure

Would quote the bits of that post I'm responding too but not easy on my phone.

1) You are making the same error as bob. Novice's claim only became weaker when Q actually made the claim. Why would my first list reflect that when it was posted ages before Q's claim?

2) When has Q obtained the status of 'probable villager'? I see no provable evidence to back that up.

3) You say that Lewwyn was in danger of being lynched near the end of Day 2 and that I should've voted for him. I contend that he wasn't. Multiple people had expressed resistance to lynching Lewwyn due to timezone issues forbidding him the chance to defend himself. It would also have put novice even further in the lead, who I did not want to lynch when he was a possible cop. I'm not going to take that chance.

Jowy made a convincing enough case on Jabbz for me to prefer taking a chance on lynching him and waiting for the cop claims to be confirmed so I went for the least bad option. I stand by my judgement, given the evidence at the time.

1) doesn't make sense with your current stance on Qgqq. You keep doubting Qgqq, even after his claim, which is hard to consider to be worse than Novice's claim. So, why wouldn't you think the same of Novice earlier on day 1 and at least doubt his claim enough to single out in that post? It seems a bit inconsistent.

3) is also questionable. Lewwyn was on top of the lynch tally before Qg's claim, as seen here:

I confess that I'm not happy with the vote-parking of Bob, Matt and Jkaen. Especially Matt who placed his vote a long time ago.

But to be fair... I'm flailing on this. On paper, my arguments seem to fit, but I can see your reasoning also working.

I had my suspicions of LLewwyn, as I previously stated, but too many people were reticent to vote for him due to his time zone troubles.

I'm not sure about Jabbz, I think it's unlikely that there were three scum up for vote but that's too much conjecture to clear him him. I'll place him on my watch list with Qgqqqqq, who I still suspect, and see what today brings.

These two paragraphs are somewhat contradictory. In the first, you say that Lewwyn wasn't a viable lynch, but in the second you seem very mindful of the fact that he was, and use that as a possible point in Jabbz' favor.

Not only does he vote Jabbz - the only hope of saving novice - but he retroactively talks about his suspicions on novice and how his is the worse claim, which he didn't mention in the above post, despite it coming after my claim. This reads like wanting to have the cake and eat it too - bowing to the consensus on bad cops despite previously preferring me, but still pushing up another candidate.

The wording of the first post had made me thought it came after I claimed (Jowy linked it), but it didn't. I still don't like that the novice-suspicion and Jabbz vote came out of nowhere, but it loses a bit of steam with the corrected timing.

To respond - my doubt of Q is based on his reactions to being voted for early on Day one. His claim may be true, but there is no evidence to prove it. His one scry was (conveniently) on a dead person.

Novice's claim seemed solid enough until Matt and Q made stronger, more detailed, counter claims. I never said that I 100% believed Novice's claim, simply that there was enough doubt for me not to want to risk killing a possible cop

Novice's claim was also very early, before I had been able to participate for long. So he was absent from later suspicion lists due to the fact he said little and that I was confident of my case on Q. I was happy to wait and see on him until I could make a case on him.

Rereading some more, it seems like we're going in circles and variations of my previous post have already been made.

I think there's a very strong objective case against TT, but somehow it still doesn't feel like we have a wolf squirming in front of the pitchfork. But with all of the points being raised against him it's hard to fault people for voting him.

So I think a claim would be good from TT at this point, even if he should have a strong role, so we could keep the discussion moving.
