AdrienIer, I'll join you on Bob if you want to go that route.
If you know what I mean.

WW35: Not Another TPS Report [Game Thread]

In case that was unclear, I don't think there would be any good reason for scum to attack another scum when he's starting to get heat. You either do it when there's no heat, to be able to refer back to your own post and use it as evidence of your innocence, or when he's going to get lynched anyway.

My vote right now is half hearted and really needs to be thought out more. Am going to try to do that tonight but if the pats win that might be difficult.
Fear cuts deeper than swords.
Because of Zak's kind proposition and my own laziness (only 18 posts to read, unlike Zak's own 68) I started a reread of Bob. But the first post is really bad in hindsight. Really, really bad.

I can't complain, since my discarded role was the worst possible and most unpleasant in the entire list, but I'm actually in favor of restarting to spare the poor people who, rightly or wrongly, are now going to get heat for discarding key village roles. I read it as that he didn't think the roles would be revealed, he doesn't care for himself but it's a big deal because novice is screwed now. So because novice looks super bad he has to cast his vote on him. Then Lewwyn is probably really town. Like, check on him cops if you want but he's town. Then friendly to Q because he knows Q is right about that other website and he knows Q is town anyway. I'm not putting away the possibility that this is just bad luck on his targets but unless I find something a lot better in his 17 other posts I'll vote for him.
Back on phone.
Bob. Lewwyn was scum near to being lynch. It was in this context he failed to mention #2 suspect Jabbz at all. And voted Meiz 1. he forgot or didnt think it important. or maybe didnt want to seem desperate by voting for defense. 2. he didnt want Jabbz lynched either. so I dont see the silliness here. Ive been waiting to see if any interest in jabbz today, but no. Is this because novice's vote clears him? Illl leave my vote for tonight. Tomorrow is busy, but Ill have time both to make a telling vote. Little to no time to investigate on my own though Ive been somewhat busy today, been checking phone now and then but not really feeling the cases so far. And @ dtay, anyone could really be SK, they should have no problem appearing active and hunting --- Offtopic, some middle-aged lady just accused me of emptying her travelling card via my phone...must have noticed me being very concentrated here."if you didn't do it I apologize, but if you did, put it back". Right.

Can you explain further why you are not happy? I think strategic role reveals are the best advantage town has in this setup. I think its lazy to disingenious to say otherwise. - If Twinkle is town, scum already know that he has a power role, because he threw away hider - Assuming Q is town, scum already have a top priority target they need to eliminate tonight, so knowing another won't materially impact our game until at least Day 4 - If Twinkle is scum, he has a small but significant chance of being caught immediately if he roleclaims wrongly. And i mean, we caught Novice through roleclaiming. Which I advocated then too. I'm not saying the whole town needs to lay its cards out, though I'm not cdertain if that would really be so bad either. But anybody already under suspicion, and ESPECIALLY somebody who tosses a power role, I think should claim. Why do you disagree? Right. That's awesome. I too know the addiction of the werewolf phone. Ms Glum has started to raise eyebrows at my sudden need to 'just check a few things'.
Man his second post is even worse...
(January 28th, 2015, 19:50)Bobchillingworth Wrote: @ Fenn- I'm not voting for novice because I want him to role reveal; pressuring people into telling everyone their powers on penalty of death is a terrible village strategy. I just think he's the best person to hang, given the information on hand. So first novice shouldn't claim (of course, it might blow his cover, and he's 1 shot gov so he's super important and should not die early). Second leave him alone for the day whatever happens. So he can be there at night, and maybe even sacrifice a goon the next day as a fake cop scan to get town points and survive to the end game where he uses his gov power at the right moment to win. He doesn't accuse anyone else and leaves for a long time. He goes on with a "nobody claim anything" campaign, to protect novice. While attacking novice, but voting for Gazglum. What ??? And obviously he falls back on a novice vote with everyone else, while this time kind of attacking Q. Looking for support on a Q wagon to fight off the novice wagon ? During the night he tried to cast suspicions on those who went after Q during the day and moved back to novice when Mattimeo claimed. It's a general accusation, so no one will feel hurt enough to be angry at him and counter attack. Then this post I don't like. (January 31st, 2015, 17:04)Bobchillingworth Wrote: Ugh, so much stuff to catch up on. Apologies if the following case has already been iterated several times over by other people, I've only skimmed the last several pages. TT was voting for Q until the Q and Matt reveal right ? Then he wasn't on Q when he was a claimed cop ? Or at least it's possible that he wasn't around between Q's reveal and Matt's ? Then this argument against TT is just nonsense. And he himself admits that he didn't think the hider role was great until someone else explained to him how good it could be. Wouldn't TT also think it week and with huge weaknesses at first, until halfway through D1 someone explains how it should be played ? If I'm wrong someone please give me a brief summary of the actual TT case, and/or a link to one such. I can't reread 70 pages of every player in the game. So definitely Bob |
