WW35: Not Another TPS Report [Game Thread]

Sorry Ich. I forgot to say GG in my irritation that you got lynched. I would have honestly been ok with you backstabbing us to just see more posts from you :P

I don't know if replacing with a former player would be right, but if there is a non player who isn't spoiled yet who'd be up for replacement, PM me and stand by in case we need one.

Good luck, everyone.

And now you'll never know if I would have backstabbed you... neenerneener

Never is such a long time, just post it in the lurker thread RIGHT NOW and I'll be patient another week. Or so.

GG Ichabod, thanks for playing.

Clarification: The thing that indicates that there is a mafia role locker is the fact that the mafia chose not to strong-arm kill me yesterday (which shows they were confident that I couldn't get off a scan result. If not for that, I could have just been visited by the jailer.

GG, Ichabod.

Jowy has a point about jailers neutering cops. Why did you ask to be jailed, Q?
If you know what I mean.

There's two parts to that, really.

I mean, the reason I asked to be jailed was, in fact, more about dividing the protective Power Roles in a manner that didn't result in overlap. We didn't know both would be in the game (just as we didn't know a Strongarm was in the game), but it was best to coordinate them, and no one else was doing it.

Of the two of us, I asked to be jailed because Mattimeo was clearly the player that was looking more towny, having killed novice. Thus, his results would carry more weight, so if only one of us was to get a scan off, it was better for it to be him. 'Course, in retrospect you could wifom it, and say that I needed a proven scan result more to clear me (as he was already clear), or that Matt would be the wolves target as the more cleared villager so he should be jailed to split their optimal kill moves. But at the time I wasn't thinking along those lines.

The second part is really why did I think that jailers should be used on a cop/power role, given that they neuter them in the process. Again, at the time I wasn't really thinking about it, more just subconsciously going powerful village role->mafia will target->needs to be protected. But honestly, I still stand by it. I mean, sure the role is neutered by a jailer - but you can't just let mafia kill with impunity. And who else would a jailer target - it's very unlikely that they'd not go for one of the two cops (they pretty much have to), and even more unlikely that a jailer would choose the right player. More likely they block a town role in this setup.

You've basically just got to defend a cop, and hope to stop a NK. And who knows, maybe the other SK went for me N1.

(This is, BTW, why forcing claims is such a bad idea. Sure we caught novice (but what were the chances of that?), but if Matt/I had each been able to last another night than we'd have two cleared players/scum caught.)

Everyone else is on Ichabod.

Since Ichabod's reveal there has been very limited opposition to his death.

That means scum is very happy with our choice.

Sure scum is happy with us lynching the SK. That goes without saying. That doesn't mean it's a bad decision for town.

Quote:Azarius is an easy target, there has been almost no defense of him by anyone. To me this implies scum is ok with him being lynched.
TT on the other hand god a good amount of defense. A lot of justification went into why he shouldn't be lynched.

The difference here is obvious. TT has been around, Azarius has not. How many players have even defended TT apart from himself?

Besides which, Azarius has been caught at a murder for most of the day. Before that he wasn't really being discussed (something Jowy complained about, as he'd tried to push him). TT was only caught in a lie right at the end of the day, and before then was being tunneled hard by Ichabod (the SK he had caught) and thus had a relatively easier time to defending himself (plus, he was around).

I can see scum Azarius being abandoned/bussed by his teammates quite easily, especially if they know he's not been online.

TT has been on a lot of people's radar since day 2.

Certainly. That's irrelevant to what I was saying, though. I was giving reasons why he might have a better time with defense than Azarius.
