Favors a GS, but that just means we'll probably get a GM. So we ought to get it the last turn of our GA. I can also flip that around and work different specialists if you think we should try for something else...but a GS seems like the best option out of what's available.
Nevada can also work 4 specialists, but won't quite have enough GPP to generate one before the GA ends. Same with Big E.
Nothing else big this turn. Next turn E produces its settler. Worker has been deployed on the grassland hill on the T-island and will start mining next turn. That's about it!
Remember, you might be switching back to slavery at the end of the GA, so the scientist will be delayed a few turns if that happens. I would also consider running specialists in nevada (non-scientist) just to build the pool for another GP in the future. Take advantage of the +100% GPP in the Golden Age.
Did you adopt Confucianism?

Good point. Guess we'll have to build a library in Yamato.
Yes, we adopted Confucianism along with OR.

Turns 116 and 117
Nothing much happening right now. Just went to 100% science so we can pull down CS in 4 turns and make the change to Bureaucracy before the GA ends in 5 turns.
Settler is on its way to canal city and will arrive next turn, build on T119. Tirpitz completed a worker and it started building a road to the new city so it's connected right away. Work boat will net the whales next turn (T118) which will help a lot with happy and make KGV a little more useful. Speaking of which, KGV is now working the dye tile (2f3c), which is the best tile available to it until the whales are ready.
Demos are not awesome. We're last in pop (not surprising) and last in soldiers (a little surprising). At 100% during a GA we're still not #1 in GNP or Prod.

Maybe we won't be going to Slavery, no pops to whip.

Yeah, we really only have maybe 4 cities we can whip regularly: Enterprise, Yamato, Nevada, and Tirpitz.

Turns 118 and 119
Still just churning along. We got a free spread of Confucianism to Nevada, which will help with both happy and production.
Our newest city, Kongo, was built.
The Kongo was originally a Japanese battlecruiser, laid down in 1911 and commissioned in 1913, and the last Japanese capital ship built outside of Japan. In 1929 she was rebuilt as a battleship, and in 1935 modified and modernized again. She saw a great deal of active service for Japan, especially in WW2. She gave fire support to the invasion of Malaysia, fought at the Battle of Midway and during Guadalcanal, and was used to defend against air raids among the many small islands in the south pacific. She survived the Battle of the Phillipine Sea and the Battle of Leyte Gulf (where she sunk American ships). Her long and distinguished career was finally ended when she was torpedoed by the US submarine Sealion while transiting the Formosa Strait. She was the only IJN battleship sunk by submarine during the entire war, and was the last battleship sunk by submarine in history.
Kongo is currently barely breaking even (8 commerce, 7+ maintenance). That will change when it gets a little bigger and gets a courthouse. I set it to build Lighthouse->Granary->Courthouse because I think the lighthouse will help growth the best giving 3f2c tiles to work in the lake.
We'll start building another settler the last turn of our GA after CS comes in. We have 2 more filler cities we can populate before we're fully committed to our land.
This turn we're #1 in GNP and Prod in the demos -- I suspect CH went to 0% science.
I also have Bismarck building a few missionaries to fully spread our religion internally. First one completed T119 and is on its way to Kongo to give it some culture.

A granary first is usually optimal. Here I think it's close, but probably granary. If you've already sunk the hammers into the LH, better to finish that first then. Any workers around to chop that forest? Nice to get the chop in after the OR bonus, too.
What other spots are we looking to settle? Kongo is going to need a lot of worker love, I recall that we were pretty "under-workered."
Is that barb city still there east of Kongo?

The turn hasn't rolled, so I went in and changed it. I went with Lighthouse because with our ORG bonus and the GA it was going to build very fast (6 turns...well, actually probably 7 because the GA ends in 3 turns). A worker is actually on the forested hill and will start chopping next turn. Might have to wait to get the OR bonus as the missionary will not have any move left on turn 3, so will probably take 4 turns to get Confu there (unless we get a free spread).
We have the filler city W of Big E to get the sheep on Nevada's island, and we have a filler city up near KGV. After that, we have to engage in some imperialistic endeavors.
I'm not sure about the barb city. There are two barb spears walking around there, but I can't remember if I saw the city borders or not.

I wonder if that entire area is blocked by peaks or whatever. If so, maybe that's a viable way to expand. That sheep filler city is great for low maintenance and some good tiles, but man there's a lot of worker-turns that need to be found. Especially so when you consider we might end up staying in caste because the whip ain't too great for us.
What do you think about tech after CS?

Honestly, I'd like to get IW and get those elephants online. Not only will it be a good tile for the city to work (grassland elephants!) but it'll give us a happy bonus as well, which means our bigger cities and grow even more.
But Construction would be really good as well. We'll get our UU (and can try to beat on Elum some), and bridges.
It's possible that it's completely blocked off by peaks...that would be an interesting addition to the map. We could build a galley in Kongo once it grows a bit and see.
