Hmmm, Elum was in for 15mins but didn't end turn.

I think we're in a valid turn split situation here, but I wonder if Elum is waiting for us to play before finishing turn?

Do you think we should send a pm to make sure that Elum is in agreement and didn't forget to end turn by mistake?

Elum killed one of the warriors with the weaker axe which is now at 4.5/5. Chariot is in place. No galley S, SE, or SE-S of Ainu.

Do we want to raze the city if possible? If so, what should we do with our axe? Should we pillage the hamlet or move it SE?

Pillage the Hamlet this turn. If he attacks the city with both next turn, only one Axe will be on the captured city - we can kill with the Chariot then cover with the Axe. If he only attacks with one it leaves it open to us.

I'm happy to let him get the pillage from the city as long as he burns it down; if he keeps it, I think we want to declare and burn it.

BTW, I think our next settling priority should be 2N or N-NE of this city to invalidate city sites along the S coast.

Good idea. Settler will complete in 2T from Smurf and can ship over. We also had one more spread of Buddhism last turn. Grimace/wetbandit swapped to Bureaucracy yikes KTB rises to 4% per player which is helpful.

Ended turn: Grimace/wetbandit' GA has ended, and GS is born in a faraway land (probably theirs) . I figured out why the barbs ran away: we blocked all routes to the city so their path finding was messed up. They're heading back to the city now after I had retreated the Axe to Active Link to heal. Also, we got another spread on the inter-turn.

Library at Hub complete this turn (T122), going to turn on 100% science for 3T Monarchy and then we should start aiming for CS via either CoL or Feudalism.

My thoughts are to promote chariot to C1 and move axe 1E, chariot 1W on the same square so Elum can take the immortal vs chariot coinflip if he wants.

We have an axe+spear 2N of Active Link so the immortal won't be a threat.

And Adrien just planted:

Should we redirect the barbs his way?

Bother! <Cue C3PO>

What do you want to bet there's a similar region between CH, johns and Whosit that they're fighting over?

I'm willing to bet there's another unit on Elum's Galley - or at least we have to plan on it. I think gathering the units next to the city is a mistake that might be interpreted as aggression - we're not ready for that right now. I'd like to move the Axe NW to defog, but then it would be fully exposed to the Immortal; alternative is hooking up with the Chariot 1N and then seeing the reaction.

Damage limitation: we can still plant 1N of the flatland Mine and 1NE of the Wheat, as well as grabbing the other Barb city to secure our central "pod" of land. We can also see about planting the NW and then make a move on Elum's outpost or push against Adrien. I think we're in the stronger position in the West since it's close to our core, but in the East we may be closer to Adrien.

I'm thinking of moving them 1NE of the axe instead of 1n.

Had a quick look. Good call with the Axe NE, since the Spears showed up. We can probably hit one of them and then the other will suicide on the Axe. Nothing of Elum's in visibility, so only Immortals could hit us and it's unlikely. I'd be willing to bet that Elum has little idea of the shape of the land around here, but we probably want a Trireme in the waters as soon as we can.

Killed one spear, Axe has 4.4/5 = 88 HP after that. Smurf is double whipping a Trireme into a 1T Galley; I'm thinking of Settling 2S-W of Keystone (1W of the clams). Axe and Chariot can move to cover that spot, while second Galley transports troops from TP (First Galley will be for Active Link).

We should be able to 2T Monarchy.

Interturn: remaining barb spear ignores us, moves to 1N of Ainu. Stack of 2 Barb Axes and Warrior goes to harrass Adrien

I'm thinking of spear kills warrior while both axes moves to 1NW of Hsung-Nu.\

Edit-Settler is on the Galley so we can also found around the Grassland Mine, but the Clams city should be faster.
