WW 36 - Horrors in Kingsport [Game Thread]

It was a strange day. You all tried out one name, then another, until someone hit upon a suggested policy. "Why not just lynch the quietest?"

Dockside Matt, who was a quiet as a mouse most days, affected more ennui than anger on the decision, so most of you quickly voted for him. He was so quiet, in fact, that pretty soon most of you even forgot he was supposed to hang and began working on figuring out the next victim. It wasn't until the clock chimed you realized you all hadn't actually gotten around to hanging the man.

As Dockside Matt swung and gagged, you saw his face start to change. He always looked a little odd, but his face was taking on a greenish cast, and moving rapidly from "cousins in the family tree" to "European royalty" on the inbreeding scale. At last, with a fishy flop, Dockside Matt expired. You find yourself oddly hungry for cod.

Mattimeo was lynched. He was a horror.
Alignment PM:
Horror-You are a monstrous horror, absolutely dedicated along with
your fellows to awakening the Great One Who Lurks Beyond The
Threshold. To the blind and grasping citizens of this town, you appear
human and whole in the light of day. In the dark of night, your
howling coven can slay one of the citizens as a gift to Who Lurks
Beyond. You win when you kill all the citizens or you and your fellow
horrors equal them in number. And by win, we mean you can at last
leave this weak and cringing human mask behind and blossom into your
true hideous form as you exult in orgiastic terror seeing Who Lurks
Beyond burst through into this world and consumes it in glorious
annihilation.

Role PM:
Knower of Own Boots (imprecise reporter)- You may target someone at night and creep around
their house examining the ground. If someone other than you has
visited them or they have gone out this night or the night prior, you can tell. You only
know your own footprints though so you have no idea who did what, just how many.

[quore]My questioning wasn't on what you did on it's own, but more of the fact that you did it so early in the day, and then tried to pass it off as a great tell-generating service to the town when we were still barely out of joke phase.[/quote]

I really don't see where I passed it off as something massive. I thought it would generate slightly more tells than otherwise. That's as much and as little as there is too it.

Quote: 2) Qgqqqqq, who seemed oddly defensive for him to my questioning, and all of hie posts I can think of right now seem to also trigger my scumdar.

I honestly couldn't understand why or what you were asking. It just seemed academic to me.

The posts he did make are mostly defensive, explaining his AdrienIer vote or his voting Brick to push the wagons to equal voting totals. Not any reads either, apart from saying that Adrien's early behaviour was weird. He did say that he wouldn't have much time for the game but it's still a startling lack of movement from Q's side.

When did I vote Brick, again? And blah blah blah I told you I wouldn't have time.

I told you that switch to Zak looked fishy. Ok, it was actually Matt that looked fishy, but you know what I mean.

I think tomorrow it will be interesting to discuss this view versus those shouting that the Matt lynch was purely a policy lynch...

What was the non-policy parts of his lynch, then?

I may have missed it in the read, but certainly many players - Zak, Rowain etc. - on it named it as such.
