That post was quintessentially Lewwyn to me.

Huh, I thought you said that it was a trust building exercise and then moved to Matt. Better reread, I suppose.

You followed me on Saul, said Mattimeo was innocent for saying "eh", and then took an opportunistic shot at me at the end. That's what I remember off the top of my head.

I expect Sunrise will want some town points, too, btw. I guess he can have them, though he also stands out as the most likely "early busser", if there is one.
If you know what I mean.

Alright everyone, a man is dead and he turned out to be a monster, so that's good. But if the Massachusetts state police come round asking about it, lets leave out the bit about fish-monsters and say that Mr Mattimeo accidently put his head in a noose and fell off a box. We don't want the Kingsport tourist trade to dry up any more than it already has.

Apart from that, well done Town, and thankyou for any eldritch horrors who stuck your neck out at the end. We'll have a good long look at that in the morning.

I said before the lynch and say it again now, Matt was not just a policy lynch. Agree with Sunrise. Everybody has a town baseline, and however low that hurdle is for Matt on Day 1, he failed to meet it.

Thanks for not lynching me while I was away.

I agree that Lewwyn earns obvious scum points.

(Quasiunrelated, but an observation from a bit of rereading: Saul is by no means cleared. He focused his counterattacks on Zak and Fenn, and argued against policy lynching Matt, when such a lynch should have been in townSaul's best interest.)

Q also has some explaining to do.

I really don't like the Matt push. Sure, scum can get by by lurking easy enough, but none of his has struck me as unusual and scummy. I thought we'd long since realized that policy lynchs don't work, either - Matt's not going to change off this, and IMO he's not particularly likely go be scum. Besides which, whilst he's always a lurker, he definitely does post more on later days/when there's more info around.

I don't like the way his wagon got thrown together. Particularly Zak's vote, there, as it struck me as quite out of kilter to his attitudes in the past.

Zak was not pushing let alone voting Matt. Here's his latest stance on Matt:

(February 19th, 2015, 13:48)zakalwe Wrote: I suspected Mattimeo earlier, based on his first post. His second post was a bit too cheeky for me to read him as scum, basically just taunting everybody with "yes, I'm a lurker, now what are you going to do about it?". It's not like I have a strong town read on him, though.

I guess we're defaulting to a Mattimeo lynch unless someone rallies the troops. And I'm having trouble keeping up so it probably won't be me.

That's all Q gives for justifying this though:

(February 19th, 2015, 14:48)Qgqqqqq Wrote: As for the others...AdrienIer has felt pretty scummy, doing a bunch of things that work with newb scum, and which felt different from his play in the past.

Saul is a wagon I don't really feel any connection to. Arguments against him seem okay in theory, but I just haven't seen that out of him.

Zakalwe I'd be prepared to lynch.

Fenn I don't even recall what the argument against him was based on.

Sunrise I recall finding vaguely scummy.

After the lynch this is what Q recalls:

Wasn't the manner in which Zak (allegedly) voted Matt the basis of Q's suspicion? I guess Q must be referring to the Zak post quoted above when he mentions a trust building exercise. So Q read this post, somehow interpreted it as Zak pushing a Matt lynch, and proceeded to whip up last minute Zak votes? Not good.

Great let's just policy lynch him. I've already stated earlier that I leaned town on Matt.

"Him" here is Zak, is that what this post meant?

I reread them now and they do leave some reasonable doubt. My main question is why Saul's one post on Zak was enough to sway you onto Zak. You didn't seem to suspect him earlier, and you did suspect Saul.

Looking more closely at the Zak assassination attempt and how the votes were placed it's a bit doubtful that scum could ever think it would succeed. So it's also possible it's just villagers messing about.

Did you see what time I arrived home? There were eight minutes left. At that point I skimmed a bit read a bit of Saul's post and also saw Matt and Zak on the block. Zak was at 5 I think and Matt at like 7, but when I posted was at 8, and Zak hadn't changed his vote yet. I decided I would vote for Zak (I really didn't expect him to get lynched) and even it up. I thought we had two villagers on the block.

I mean honestly if I were scum and I knew Matt was scum and I knew that he was about to be lynched and it was obvious that Matt was going to be lynched... actually I'm not sure what I would've done as scum. Probably I would have waited until after the deadline and kept my vote on Saul and not poked my head in.

I meant him as in Matt not Zak. I was being sarcastic.

Doing my reread now. First off, huge town points for random.org!
