There's a subtle difference for Lewwyn. Some games he posts sporadically with lots of attempted insight and then frenetically when he thinks he has someone. Other times he behaves more like he does here but there's a tone of village authority that he posts with, like he's pulling strings. This is a thing zak does pretty much every game unless he's into his full on goofy routine. There's short bursts, little insights, passive chasing. Village Lewwyn to me tends to be quieter until he has something then boom, non-stop attack. Maybe I'm sensitive because of that game where he trolled me hard but that's what I've been reading all along.

I actually don't at all trust Lewwyn's starter-zak kit routine this game, generally how I've felt when he's rolled scum, last time I just fell for buddying. At least he's talking though. On the other hand, I wonder what dtay thinks?

Actually I'm pretty sure you're scum since Zak was killed Day 1. Rule one of the Gaspar scum rulebook, kill Zak. That coupled with you not voting for Zak when it was between him and Matt tells me that you're also likely scum. Stay on Matt because Zak isn't getting lynched anyway and you can get more bussing cred. Village Gaspar would have thrown a vote on Zak for the same reasons I did. Zak is inherently suspicioius and it's fun to vote for Zak and make him sweat.

So yeah I'm sorry you had to roll scum again in your first game back in a while Gaspar.

Anyone else want to chime in on my thoughts of Gaspar?

Good post, MJW. Excellent use of full-meta to drive a lynch on D2.

I certainly don't disagree that kill Zak night one is my style. I don't think that's a big secret, however and I think that if I were Lewwyn and scum, I'd be more than willing to use that to get a threat out and set me up for a lynch. And honestly, I've mentioned this in several games, so any long time player would be aware of that. Zak's kill was always going to point suspicion at me and Saul.

As for why I didn't vote Zak when the train was coming... honestly I made a vow to myself before I started this game that I wasn't going to let Zak rile me up so I sort of decided I'd just ignore him until D3 or so. If he was village he'd be likely dead already and if not, then I could reassess. Call that bad play if you like but I'm here to have fun and arguing with zak for 2 weeks just isn't fun for me. That and I felt comfortable on my initial read that there was something scummy in the Mattimeo/sunrise interaction.

Lewwyn.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

And the 3rd and 4th lines should be in a quote.

Gaspar and I have had many long conversations about WW, civ, life and general ranting. I'm fairly confident on reading him. The only problem and the only reason I'm not voting for him right now is that I can't be sure that his current passive tone is due to him having not time and not being greatly invested or being scum.

I don't particularly think that we're friends means much, fwiw.

I think dtay is villager. I look back on his defense of Sauldicator on Day 1 and its just a pure village reaction. Scum simply wouldn't be that aggressive in the defense of a scumbuddy like that.

Rowain why do you think dtay is scum because of Zak's death?

That's fine, that makes sense and is not bad play. It does clarify some of the things I thought were scummy actually.

Today there was nothing for me to watch and be quiet about. No one has been goddamn talking so I had start pushing things around. Honestly no one post for a good 12 hours. How am I supposed to make any reads from any of that?

Actually, yeah. Gaspar was one of the people I found interesting in my re-read.

I was all ready to give Gaspar town points for his vote on Mattimeo, since he had been saying earlier how he thought one of or both sunrise and mattimeo could be lurker scum (post 160). Then doubles down on that by saying "we have to lynch one of either sunrise or mattimeo" (post 165). He's been voting for sunrise this time, and that seems consistent with his argument. He defends me pretty strongly and says he's willing to move to save me -- then does so in post 232.

That's a pretty key moment to vote Mattimeo - I think it's 5 Matt, 4 Me at that point, so this pulls Mattimeo in the lead. But the next posts kind of undermine his own vote.

Also don't like how easy Matt is going down.

And that was it for the rest of the day.

I want to give him town points for the key moment he voted Mattimeo. But he doesn't like the vote and kind of undermines it with his posting. But he never does jump off. I don't think he ever even commented on the zak push at the end. I don't know, it's enough to get my attention, but I dont' see anything really there that looks more than a town who is unsure of himself.

I can see I cross-posted with a bit. It does help to get some explanation of what you thought about the zak push.

Basically, I found his disappearance suspicious. I think really active D1 followed by very quiet D2 is a common scum thing - you got yourself out as a talker, it will take a while before you lose that rep. Also had some concerns about his level of tryhard on D1, as stated on D1.

Also wanted to take a Rowain lead out for a spin, because y'know, Rowain.
