A lot of people seemed to support a Q lynch but backed out of it:

there's a convenient wagon on Qgqqqqq that I'm happy to join.

I understand why people are voting for him [Q] and I don't think he's a bad target for today.

Net of this is I don't like Qqqqqqq, list of short "kind of scummy" reads when matt was on the block, actual vote to save Matt, and lack of substantive other contributions -> would be very happy with lynching him. Impressionistically would want to lynch him more than his blockmate Fenn, but I don't remember a ton of what Fenn did d1 so gonna go look through that.

I know its been beat to death and Qg is already the topic of the day but this post feels so scummy. Lack of conviction and resignation... ugh.

Q doesn't read that scummy to me either, yes, yes, superwolf, etc., but I don't think there is enough of a case there. Because of that I also don't like Novice so much today. I might vote Novice over Jabbz or Q.

What changed to make you think this, Gazlgum?

Doing a skim read on my phone early in the day, your post stood out as the single most scummy of that period. Because it was too self pitying and because this:

If I'm scum, then killing Zak to get him out of my hair is not a good tactic. Zak was the alternative lynch, and nowhere near so towny as to be impossible to scumcast on. Thus, killing him loses a defense for scum me (as well as others who pushed Zak, btw) - that he and matt were both scum - and strengthens the case against Zak votes, increasing their prominence today.

Thus, scum me wanting to kill him to further my own defense is simply inane.

(Which is not to say that scum me wouldn't do it - he was quite towny, and he's zakalwe so he's already a strong candidate absent roles. It's perfectly possible that my scum faction decided to take this chance despite the harm it would do to my defense, but it's certainly no motivation for scum wanti my to protect me.)

Read to me like a deep dive down the rabbit hole of WIFOM.

So maybe you are scum.

But I can believe you have it in you to completely misread Zak's posts, and that town Q would not want to vote Matt if he saw it as policy. I checked your early Day 1 and it seemed not too bad to me, disagreed with others that it was super scummy. And your defenses today were consistent while Fenn's statements on Mattimeo felt more contradictory than what you were saying. So I didn't feel anything had been added to your case, and there wasn't enough to hang you.

That was just a pretty bad day overall I think. I feel kinda bad cause I was reasonably confident on Q but wasn't around to try and drive that point in. Since it isn't the weekend anymore though, for this next day phrase I'll be able to be around more.

Reread Q and Novice for now. I don't see what others seem to see in the Q case (at least I don't see a compelling case, just a few indirect arguments and they're not enough). I get some town vibes and some (small) scum vibes, so I wont be voting for him right away.
Novice is more interesting, his timing for voting Matt on D1 is very very wrong (I really should have done this reread two days ago), coming from this

Never rolled scum yet, but when I'll eventually do my first wolf game my first post in the wolf thread will be to ask for advice, in order to stay low and not to attract attention

Brick this is the other reason I'm voting A.

And really Novice, your last post is a big misunderstanding of what D2 was, it was generally lazy (pleading guilty here), and many people where just saying "I don't really like this post" or "I like this case more than that one" out of lazy gut feeling without being really focused on the game. My post you quoted specifically said that I suspected all three candidates in no particular order and that I was voting Q because he already had votes. If Fenn had had votes at that time instead of Q I'd have voted Fenn. Gazglum was obviously in a hurry and reacting to a single post from Q. So overall people from that group said they didn't mind voting for Q, but it was more a "not bad but I'm sure there's a better case somewhere" feeling. I'm still in that same mood right now because Q hasn't been very scummy yesterday.

Everyone seemed quiet and somber after the accidental and completely no-one's fault homicide of yesterday of the innocent but clearly had it coming Fenn.

When you all found Rowain's half-eaten corpse, it was almost a relief to have something else unpleasant to avoid thinking about.

Rowain has been killed. He was a loyal citizen of the town.
