Well, I'm still on Qg for a reason. The reason is even if he flips blue it tells us something, which I don't think is the case with most of the potential lynches.

Beyond that, I think I've made my preferences clear but as I said, I can't tell you they're fresh reads, just haven't had the time for the full-scale re-read that would take.

Join me on Novice and novice would be tied for the lead right now. That's how easy it would be to get novice on the block. Or vote for me and have me tied for the lead. Novice and I can be lynched easily today, and you've got 7 hours.

Figure it out. Unless you're scum, then the village is boned.

If Lewwyn has to go he has to go. I have to go for a bit too.

What info do we get from Q's flip that we wouldn't from Novice's? I do agree that we get no information from Sunrise or Brick or any other of the vaguely scummy candidates.

And in case you hadn't noticed Gaspy, there are currently 4 votes on Lewwyn or Novice, and Dtay seems willing to play with the idea. Regretfully claiming that its somehow 'impossible' to lynch them is starting to sound like you are protecting them.

Anyone can honk a horn. It's how you run someone down in the street that counts.

If Lewwyn/Novice/Gaspar are a scum team then that would be just hilarious.

I'm out for a coffee break. Back in a few hours.

Well that is unfortunate that Lewwyn had to run off with his vote left on me. Unfortunate in the sense that it's very convenient for scum Lewwyn but also in line with town Lewwyn. So I kind of shot myself in the foot there if Lewwyn is scum.

I'm very conflicted about what to do here, it seems whatever I do is just self-incriminating, and I'm very aware of it too, which makes things worse. Qgqqqqq is a good lynch, but I realize that there's a good chance he flips town, in which case I'm mislynched next. If I express doubts about him that reflects poorly back on me since I pushed him so hard earlier. If I don't I'm suspected for tunneling. I have serious trust issues with Lewwyn (and to a lesser extent, Gaspar), so when they vote away from Qgqqqqq I suspect Q even more, and when they join me I start doubting a Q lynch. I guess I should have just kept tunneling Q but my fear is that scum have manipulated me, letting me push a town Q hard enough that when they finally stop working against it I have no way of escaping a Q wagon without looking scummy, and presto they have a double mislynch lined up. I would hate being played like that.

So that is what goes on behind my enigmatic facade, and as a consequence my instinct is to escape the conundrum by finding scum outside the q/lewwyn/gaspar trifecta. I don't know who that would be though, but I do know that Sunrise deserves to hang if he keeps lurking while I'm struggling with these conflicts. And if he flips scum I can breathe again.

If Sunrise makes an appearance I may just have to take my chances on a Q lynch. Or maybe this post self-incriminates further and I'll just have to vote for self defense. That would solve my conundrum too.
I have to run.

I've had Lewwyn in the village camp since day 2. But in catching up on the trading this morning I had the same thought.

Note that he started his "wake up town" posts when Jabbz and Q were the main candidates for lynch, both are on most people's scum leans. Lewwyn

I'm the one who put Jabbz up as the main candidate on D2. I'm the only reason Jabbz was even on the radar that day. Wake up came before Jabbz too. Don't mix up who was doing what.

Ok, then maybe scum team is you+Q+someone else. It makes complete sense actually, and after attacking him to look good you just put your vote on someone else for a weak reason.

And a lot of hedging in his votes.

Hmm, now that I think about it, I haven't really thought about Gaspar much. Today he seems to have all of the same reads as me (looking at Q, Lewwyn, and novice). I'll take a look at some of his arguments here in a little bit.

(February 25th, 2015, 05:53)Qgqqqqq Wrote: Firstly though, do people really think I'm scum? I mean yes, I have been inordinately busy, which Gazglum and to a lessor extent Brick know about a bit more than the rest of you, but even so...have I ever given up as scum? I'm pretty sure the answer is no, because I never stop caring as scum. Scum is, for me, 100x more fun than town. There's so many things to handle, so many things to set up and manage. You can really leave a legacy as scum (not that I've been lynched as scum in ages), and I love it - it's what I play mafia for. As town...meh. I help out, but I'll never be a great town player, and being lynched isn't something that inherently validates your reads. So ponder that.

Yes, I do really think you're scum. And the fact that you're just saying "I get lazy as town, so since I'm lazy I'm town" and "just cause you lynch me might not give you any info" sounds like grasping at straws to me. I do know you're busy, so I'm not on you at all for your post length or frequency. It's cause when you do post, the posts are bad.

Quote:I don't know why people keep on thinking I'm angry. I'm really not - at most I'm frustrated. And that was mostly at Jabbz, for what I saw as town parroting a stupid post by scum. I wasn't even going to respond to that by novice until it came up.

That's the point though, it feels to me like you're getting frustrated with your play and how other people have read you. It's your frustration showing when you respond to people accusing you, it's pretty much OMGUS. Also to correspond with your play last game, while yes you are playing differently than last game where you were scum, last game you had your cop claim to hide behind, and never ended a game day with more than one vote on you. You're getting a lot more dangerous pressure this game, and that in combo with less time to spend on the game, I believe is making you frustrated.

Quote:Now the Commodore stuff. No, I didn't read the first post. I think it was even quoted, and I must've skimmed it. So...what's your point? That isnt something I do as scum or town. I ignored/skimmed I a) because I wasn't playing when I read that post and b) because unless I have literally nothing else going on - which happens, admittedly - I barely read or skim the first post. [...] I simply don't care much about roles or meta - they're for me, an afterthought for the game (see, for example, my disastrous start to the previous game, in a start dominated by meta - I'm like an anti-Mattimeo, heh.). So my lack of reading up on things isn't a tell one way or another, especially not in a game where I've had consistently low time and a predilection for less commitment.

I just still can't see why or how you would not realize that your role is the exact same as the one Mattimeo had until people point it out to you 3 days later. The only explanations are a villager who really didn't care or notice when sending in a night action, or a scum who decided to make a safe or similar claim and not talk on it too much to hope village didn't notice. Neither one makes sense for you really. Doesn't change the bad posts otherwise though.

Quote:So reads. Yeah, they haven't changed much, Glum, although Gaspar does move down a touch, I think his is the more genuine of the Lewwyn/him brigade (Lewwyn definitely on the scumspecrs now). Oh and I think I have, if briefly hit on novice. But lets examine specific points (again not qhoting). He's certain on me, yet his idea of pushing is far more passive aggressive than anyone save his aunt would expect., despite being around. Today he pushes for my results and doesn't even consider that there are valid reasons for me not giving them - see Saul as an example for how to handle that. Instead, he picks on a tiny point in it as an example of the whole thing falling down, and calls me explaining a roles issue (why I'm not claiming, and how its a good tactic as town) an attempt to clear myself by meta. When asked to expound on how a town me changes things, he half asses it, and more importantly had never engaged with it before. Novice, here, has not got me down as a suspect to be pushed and prodded. He's not got me down as a scum he wants to champion, or someone he could possibly re-evaluate, especially in light of Fenn or Rowain flipping. No. Novice is being passive here. He doesn't care what info I give, because he knows I'm town. He doesn't care if others think I'm town, it'll just mean he can have me as his go to suspect for longer. He doesn't care if I'm town or not, because he doesn't need to.

He doesn't care.

Why doesn't he care? By all accounts, and as evidenced by the thread, he's got the time. So why not? Unless he's scum, and a bit off/depressed about doing it again, but just going through the motions. Novice, do you have any answer for this that you can give besides denying the problem? Because by all accounts, there is a problem.

I wanna relook at novice too, because while he does share targeting you, he also feels pretty lazy. He doesn't feel as scummy as you do to me right now though, and if you do flip town that seems to me to pretty well indicate novice as potential scum.

Quote:Regardless, meh I don't care what you do much. If I live I'll keep posting what I can. And fuck you all if you complain about that, or about me stupidly getting myself lynched for not contributing. Especially you Gazglum. I told you going in, that I wouldn't have time and that there was a reason I never joined. Every time I've done posts here for the last few days I've directly delayed my sleep time by an hour, when I'm already sleeping very short nights (tonight being no exception), for a game I didn't sign up for, don't care about at all, and in something I already expect will be my biggest regret of this week. So if you dare complain, than fuck you.

I do appreciate you subbing in when needed, and you don't have to post a ton for me to like you. it's just that the posts i see tell me a story of a scum who is unsure what to post and gets angry and defensive more than a story of just a Q villager.

So were you voting Q for lurking, Novice?

No. But if Q had kept lurking I would obviously lynch him instead of Sunrise.

(February 24th, 2015, 18:56)novice Wrote: If Sunrise tries to lurk through the entire day I'm all for lynching him instead. Well, as long as Q delurks, at least. Policy lynches ftw.

I mean.... yeah lynch people who don't post, but this about face feels VERY abrupt. Especially since you've been dead set on Q as long as I have. Granted, has sunrise even posted at all this game day?

(February 25th, 2015, 08:13)Gazglum Wrote: Second, he has been making dumb mistakes. From my own brief experience as scum, I never read the thread more carefully than I did then. Q likes being scum and also reads carefully. I don't think dumb mistakes like who Zak was voting, or confusing his own ability, make sense for Scum Q. I think scum are more careful, not less.

Would they not be possible for a scum Q who is also busy and doesn't have the time to be super careful?

Quote:Third, Novice has been on Q the hardest, and I don't trust Novice. He has not been looking at the whole board.

I can easily see one or the other of the two being scum. Lynch one today, if he flips town, lynch the other tomorrow?

Quote:Fourth, Q's angry post just struck me as real. Well done if you fooled me Q. I don't think its a yardstick we should always use, but I think we have a nice community, and we like each other. Faking that kind of anger strikes me as something Q wouldn't do. I could be wrong on that, and if I am, I hope you are hanging your head in shame Q.

I've gotten genuinely angry as a scum player before too, emotion doesn't have to be faked just because you're guilty.

Quote:Finally, as Dtay has said much better than me, its suspicious how long Q has sat at the top without his 'scum buddies' trying to help him out. (Unless I'm doing that right now, WIFOM if you will!). Day 2 was lazy enough that scum would have been able to easily keep their team out of danger, but Q was in danger right until the end. Day 3 there has been a slow accumulation of votes on him without scum shoving forward their compromise candidate until (possibly) just now in Sunrise.

What if he's told the scum to feel free to bus him? If he's short on time and unhappy with his play so far this game, I could very well see scum Q saying "yeah just take me out whenever, I wont be lasting til endgame anyways." I mean it's already been done with mattimeo this game, and it could give remaining scum really good cover, due to the WIFOM factor.
