Mineral Poor penalty not applied correctly?

Hello, noticed this today:.
Bootis is a colony that became poor due to a DEPLETED random event. The production display stays unchanged though. Is this normal? Is the penalty never taken into account in the planet info? If so, could it be made so in a patch?

Your screen shots are not helpful. You show 2 different planets.
Production of a planet depends on number of factories and population. Maybe techs too. So if 2 planets spend only on tech, the output is the same on them (if the only difference is one being poor, the other being normal). Being poor halves the output towards ship, def, and ind. The displayed "Production" is the same. That's about it. Maybe eco is lower on poor too. Try it out and get back.

Sorry, I showed two planets, because they both have almost the same size, pop and factory amount - to show that the production doesn't differ.
And yeah, it doesn't differ when I switch to ship production either (even on the next turn).

Well, if the actual production isn't displayed and that's how it's supposed to be, that's okay.

The displayed production is (about) correct. You can call it actual. (About) same for the two planets. If you choose the same ship design to build, you should see that the poor planet will take (about) double time to finish. If you choose tech, their output (RP) is (about) the same.

Alright, thanks for the clarification. I haven't played MoO in years and it appears I'm forgetting some of the quirks wink
