Actually, it would be worse if Cre THH gets it, which is also quite a possibility. Quite a reason to hammer the issue.
We would have to use the axes from Hulk and Emerald to do it fast, do you think it's a risk? Both cities would still have a spear each, and Emerald keeps building military. I think it should be ok.

Played the turn, still little to report:


GNP is a bit low considering we are researching with our Academy. However, this is in part due to Pfeffi working hammers instead of cottages. As it looks like, we can only pay for 2 more turns of research, which will not be enough, so we could start saving gold again and turn it back on once Pfeffi returns to cottages, at least a little.
CY is worrying me, because it means that with many citizens (high pop) we're getting too little food. The MoM cities won't improve that. Well, the only solution is full steam expansion after Currency/Mids/Moai.

Instead of coloured dots, I labeled our planned settling sites alphabetically; the order is roughly the order I expect us to settle them, X and Y being an exception, as they run somewhat apart.


D probably has to be moved 1N because THH pressure, though I hate not to settle on coast. In return, the dot would get a 2nd ring deer and plains hill city tile.
A is now 1N of my initial pink dot; if THH gets the barb city we are not competing for the incense and might as well move it 1W.

I'll be away from home by about 11pm tonight; if a turn comes around feel free to play it. The western scout warrior should move 1S to check if there is a stone resource. Btw a sadistic Commodore could have put marble there and given each of Al and Mardoc a stone island. That way we could be a lot less sure about our Mids success.

oh and eot Hulk got a Hindu spread smile I still think the Great Wall culture will be helpful to control the zone, plus it's fun.
Mids is due in 3-4 turns, rather 4 (i.e. 4 more times hitting enter). 3 if we sacrifice the southern forest or move a worker from the mainland to the island (I'm not really dismissing that option, actually, as we don't need him there urgently, but it sucks to lose a worker turn every time a worker loads onto a galley)

playing now, but not gonna report. I assume you didn't play it? In case you did I'll tell Mardoc to pick the save he likes the most. Probably I won't have the opportunity to play in the morning though, so if you get the chance and I did not state here that I played it, have a nice turn. I'll pull the mainland worker over to speed up Mids, going to leave a note in-game

In the end we had a spare worker turn I had not known of, so no need to ferry over the worker. I forgot ti turn off research; should be done next turn.. mardoc/al stone is unsettled . Axe in hulk can move halfway to emerald to get on the ferry later

Settling D 1N might get us a wine too. The map isn't completely similar with what we see in the west, there settling 1NE of the pig gets us sheep and wine second ring.

I just played the turn and realized it was the same one you played. Did you realize we don't need to chop the forest 1N3W of Pfeffi ?

+34 next turn working the same tiles as right now (2 grassland mines the wine mine the sheep and two plains forest)
+70 end of turn 61 (2 grassland mines the wine mine the sheep a plain forest and the FP)

That way the worker that has movement this turn can move towards the horse/deer in the north. I suggest pasturing the horse first to give us unit flexibility.

Which makes 336h for a 335h build. I'll resend to Mardoc asking him to play my turn if he's ok with that.

nope we didn't, as I did not calculate exactly the hammers and went to chop that forest. I'm really sorry for all the confusion.
I hope nobody of the other players gets it wrong.
I'll be there to play in the afternoon . However, I'm away from Monday 12am to Tuesday 5pm. I will not touch a turn in that time, they're all yours. Under normal circumstances these should be the Mo evening turn and Tu morning. I don't know if I get WiFi at the hotel to comment.

I'll get the evening turn most likely but tuesday I won't play the turn before 3 or 4pm, not sure what is best here...
