I'm seeing lumber mills!

Yep! It's not often you see anyone with forests still around for lumbermills. Since I rarely needed to get anything chopped out quick in those areas, the trees survived long enough for the mills to be available.

That little kingdom is almost absurdly pleasing to the eye.

Man did Xenu miss out on a prize; Loopy is amazing.

Yeah, when he attacked me and landed that rather large stack of knights and such on the island it got me scared he was going to take it (or worse...raze it). I'm still surprised he didn't send his pirates after GJ to my immediate north...he's got a couple cities there protected by just a single Jannisary.

JK, keep up the good work. Is there any opportunity for expansion?

Expansion would be a long ways off even if any opportunities arose. First I need an army....so gotta build that, and with current units. Next I need a fleet....a couple galleys and triremes won't cut it. So even before then, I'd need to research Optics and Astronomy.

Expansion? What is that? I think I'll just chill out on my own private island, enjoying a cocktail on the beach for a bit.

Well, I've been waiting for it to happen...and it's finally going to happen.....good bye to one of my best cities....Isla Loopy....

Just figured I'd do a quick update here. This game will likely be over for me in the not too distant future. GJ finally decided to send a stack of Galleons & Frigates at me (currently bombarding Isla Loopy). Since he was logged in, I was able to get an instant loan from dtay (400 with a 45/turn repayment) which will let me get Rifling at the end of this turn. GJ will likely take that city at the beginning of next turn. When I log in after him, I'll try to get more loans from as many people as I can to upgrade as much as I can before GJ continues to attack my mainland.
Then we'll just see how quickly I fall.

When I next log in, maybe I'll take a couple screenshots to show how quickly I'll get swept under the rug. The fun I've been having with this game has simply been seeing how long it took for someone to realize they can easily conquer me and have my lovely cities. I kept being surprised everyone was leaving me alone. And other than Xenu's pirate attack, and CH's short-lived attack attempt, this is the first time anyone has tried anything against me.

So he saw the weaker spot as being Asylum, and took that city this turn. Here's a few screenshots. He'll be able to sweep through and clear out the rest of me pretty quickly.
I send loan requests to a bunch of people. I'll log back in later in the turn after they've logged in to see if any of them accepted such that I can do some quick upgrades just to slow GJ down and put up as much of a fight as I can.
