Today, I'm mislynched. Dtay is nightkilled. You'll be mislynched tomorrow and we lose.
By contrast, we can lynch Adrien today. If he's scum that's great, and we both gain town cred. If he's town, you will still be able to lynch me tomorrow (we have seen that I lose a me vs. you showdown), and you have one more day to find the last scum.
So lynching Adrien is the safe play for you.
Okay, I will listen to you.
This thought has been in the back of my head for the last day or so, that we might both be getting hung out to dry here. And numerically, your argument makes sense.
The problem with that is 1) I still feel more confident about your independent scumminess than AdrienIer's scumminess and 2) I am worried that this is a very enthusiastic defense just to save you from being properly lynched as scum. And that come tomorrow, after an AdrienIer mislynch, you're going to rally everyone to mislynch me, and successfully do that and then it's over for village.
So to agree with you on lynching Adrien now, would be a big gamble both in that he is actually scum and if not that I could have you properly lynched tomorrow. looks like there have been more posts so I'll wanna read those first but I just.... I haven't felt like Adrien is potential scum that much at all this last day or two and even if that play would be objectively 'safe' it feels like I'm putting the gun in my mouth and flicking off the safety.

Compare with my scum games - I usually go down quickly once I'm on the block. Defending earnestly for such a long time while also keeping giving tells on other players is not only exhausting for scum, it's also dangerous. Last game I clammed up completely once it became clear I was getting lynched, for fear of giving away my scum buddies.
On the one hand, it is very true that you have been more active, and it could either be desperate to avoid being caught as scum or village. I will say though that making a comparison to the last game should count for null though: There's a big difference in defense-ability between being caught fake-claiming cop on Day 1 and arguing out of a situation with relatively little meta-involvement midway through a game.

Yes. That's also why I'm avoiding doing too much speculation beyond today's lynch.
Everyone but you has to operate under the assumption that you might be scum though, cause if that is the case then going novice -> brick or vice versa would be a lot more fatal.

I perfectly understand that, although until a few hours ago almost no one had voiced real arguments against me and I had mostly positive comments (about my townieness I mean).

Well, BRick, I understand your problem. Of course for me, if you do join me on Adrien I'll feel confident that you're town and thus Adrien is scum. But if Adrien does then flip town I'll be obliged to try to lynch you, of course. But I don't really think that should be a concern for you. If Adrien flips town I will be well and truly boned.
I have to run.

I don't really have much to add to the case against Adrien that wouldn't be misrepresenting my confidence level. I'll put here that novice's last day has felt very towny to me on an intuitive level, it feels like someone legitimately annoyed at being mislynched, but I don't expect that to really persuade anyone since everyone else has their own sense of that sort of thing. A lot of this is that I find myself agreeing that most of his arguments and reads about other people just make sense and don't seem forced to me.
Everyone lynching novice for not really contributing enough is being contradictory, Adrien and Brick (and sunrise, and Jabbz fwiw) have contributed fewer reads and made fewer personally risky plays. Not saying that's the only reason people have for thinking he's scummy, but it's been in there and I don't think it makes any sense.

Then act on that.

Adrien is not interested in doing this. He just wants to push through this lynch, after saying yesterday that today's analysis would be useful. Now he wants to postpone analysis again, to tomorrow.

I don't disagree. I'm voting to lynch Novice because 1) Lewwyn recommended it, and I trust Night 4 Lewwyn more than Day 5 anyone else; 2) I really disliked his play around the Q lynch; 3) hypothetical town-Brick's scan; 4) I've generally felt his tone to be unexpectedly varied and equivocating this game, and 5) I think it gives us the most information.
That said I will certainly feel bad if Novice rolls town. He's clearly put in a lot of effort today, and he's been one of the nicer players to play alongside, though WIFOM, etc.

The problem I'm having right now is that your little game with dtay is WIFOM at its best. Either you're scum or you're not, I think you are but if you're not you're just letting team scum (which would be dtay and BRick) tear me apart tomorrow. If you're scum dtay could be scum getting WIFOM cover, or just mislead town. I mean, this day has just been you on the block making noises (good noises, I'll give you that) while the rest enjoys the show. Dtay has followed you, BRick has answered lots of questions, Saul has appeared every now and then and Jabbz and Sunrise have lurked a lot. The work was done very early when we decided to lynch you, the votes were almost locked a long time ago and we're just waiting to see how you flip.
Yesterday I said it would be good to analyze stuff today CONCERNING OUR TRIANGLE. Not concerning looking at the whole lot. Taking the number of players from 7 to 5 is going to help tremendously.

I feel the same as sunrise. What I dint like about Adrien is if we're wrong then we're back to novice vs brick but in aLYLO situation. So I think it has to be one of the two.
And while novice is appearing more townish today I still think up until today it's been more likely noviceas scum.
Now Adrien does seem life a possible partner for brick. So fits novice (unlikely gambit); early today I thought dtay was a possible novice partner but he's been very it going in support today
