No biggie. Yeah, Quechas are more of a problem than the Dog Soldier, natch. And the Terrace, does that still give 2 culture or was it changed somehow?
Well, at least that will hopefully keep them away from Henge now.

Being a typical American based in the Midwest, I've been afforded the right to dismiss such nuances and true to form, I apparently nailed it. All I did was translate "dog" to the German "hund" and an arbitrary umlaut to one of the U's for effect, so I thought I had it covered.
Then again, I am the decider on this so despite your noble attempt to correct me, I think I will keep it, flaws and all.
Oh it's beautiful, please keep it! It was just fun for me as generally if you want a German word to look Turkish, just make ü's of all the u's. I also am a fan of xenu's naming scheme in pb18

Ha, glad you liked it. You should write mean things in plako's and Cheater Hater's threads since they put an end to me adding any new city names to entertain you with.

Picks :
Retep, Joao of Aztecs. While independently good I'm nut sure I understand why you wouldn't want the double speed SA, his goal will be to build them everywhere. And when he picked he had all the org leaders available. I'd have taken Julius or Mehmed, definitely.
Commodtay, SB of Inca. Ouch. Pro inca with fun phi to go with it. They already had the equivalent of two weak traits with the cheap terrace+pro, add phi to that and they'll tech way too fast. Tech path is obvious, quick pottery for terraces followed by writing for libraries and an early academy. MoM/TGL are their targets after that.
Grimace, Ramesses of Celtia. No early game trait. He's going for Stonehenge, that'll be his early game trait. We need to use the exp FW to beat him to it. I don't get why he didn't go Pro, cheap duns with stone become actually useful. Else they're too expensive for what they do (G2 is cool but not easy to use).
BorshAgent, Shaka of Ottomans. Solid. Cheap hammam followed by agg janissaries. Nice.
HAKFenn, Mehmed of HRE. Org Rathauses. Ouch. I was just wondering if Org/Ind wouldn't be best for HRE. Oracle CoL and then spam cities.
Gavagai, Mao of Carthage. Cheap cothons, cheap granaries. He's hoping for a PB22 style map with islands, to make the cothon shind. Not a bad pick.
AdrienDonovan, Bismark of India. We're going to screw this aren't we ? I like the pick. It fits a 3rd pick well IMO. Strong yet slightly unusual.
Elkad, Hammurabi of the Dutch. Don't know about Hammurabi. He's got the cumulated maintenance bonus of the Rathaus, I'll give him that. No need to expand on the Dutch.
GJ, Genghis of Zulu. I hate him. This is awesome. It's a fun pick too. Quickly plant cities in people's faces with your imp trait and watch them quiver in fear of your agg impis.
Based on picks I want to start next to Grimace or Elkad because no early game trait. Then Gavagai and HAK because they won't have a much better starting game then us. The agg civs are a nuisance, GJ is especially scary, BorshAgent is alright though with no early uniques. Commodtay are probably the favorites of this game, I'm still not sure how they managed to get pro inca 8th in the pick order. And Joao (Retep) will be a huge pain and will overexpand in our face. Either we let him do it or we go in an early conflict, and PB22 has made me wary of early conflict.

I haven't been active enough, I should be simming but I want to sim with potential second cities before going too far. Let's hope the game starts today so we can start taking a look at the land.

I am kind of in the same boat. I think we have looked at everything we can with the info we have. I don't see much changing from our previous plan except for possibly the worker actions.

I have been wanting to omni-lurk PB18 for some time, but calling that a tall order seems like an understatement. ![lol lol](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif) Maybe I'll start with your thread.
While we are on the subject, we should probably consider a naming convention. I am cool with pretty much anything as long as the city names actually sound like cities. To elaborate, names like Balls Deep or Ohnohedint would likely be vetoed by me.
