[No Players] WW 36 Lurkers In The Gallery Of Peanuts

Done with wolf and lurker threads. This was a great game Commodore, I loved it. I was not so happy to be alive on the last day again, but, per the wolf thread, at least I was an option for a night kill at one point or another. Makes me feel like I'm doing a bit better as I get more games under my belt.

I'm completely down for another game with either Bob or Brick, whoever was planning on running one.

I agree with you here Saul, and I wasn't looking for infallibility. What I was looking for was additional info. If you were alive, your arguments would be worth a lot less, because I wouldn't know you were town. Dead though, I know that your reads are at least in the best interest of the town, if not accurate. It provides me additional feedback. I still made my own decisions, but it was quite helpful to get input from beyond the grave.

I agree re: Jabbz. Maybe he needs to post some more too, but while I don't personally like the hyper-aggressive WW playstyle I thought he played very effectively, new player or otherwise.

I didn't think you were playing badly, I meant that you had posted little enough at that point that I thought the horrors would be able to get an easy mislynch on you at LyLo. But you played well the last two days, to the point where you were pretty unlynchable. You, Adrien and Jabbz had a great final day.

Also Jabbz, you deserve a salute for getting Dtay dead to rights on Day 2 even if nobody listened to you. At least you got to string him up in the end. And Adrien, you withstood so much pressure like a champ, and took down two wolves 1v1. That was impressive.

Great fun reading the wolf thread, you guys were a well balanced team. And Dtay, you did amazingly for your first scum game, and came so close.

I thought it was great that Dtay, Jabbz and Adrien got to play out such a tight ending, and along with Fenn you guys have been a joy to wolf with the last few games. I'll nightkill you early next time Jabbz, to give you a bit of a break, you've had a lot of pressure on your shoulders the last two games!

I'd love to take credit for having dtay dead to rights, but I feel I was more irritated with him for what I saw as bad logic, than convinced he was scum. I think it was around day 4 when I started seriously thinking of him as a possible horror. It was awesome to have three new people (even if I didn't realize Adrien was new) as the last few deciding the game. I'm really glad you guys are enjoying my presence though, this has been a blast. As to the pressure, I'm getting better at not taking it seriously, (though I still want to slap Saul :/ ) so it's not that bad. I'm just getting used to the idea that my normal thought process early game comes off as scummy :P

Thanks. cry It was indeed a shame I voted for scum each time a scum was lynched...

It's a little frustrating having the expectation of playing "post a lot game" and not "find the scum ww game." Most notably after the novice town flip - why in the world would I want to waste my time performing mental gymnastics to justify that being a towny action? If the game from the novice flip onwards was composed of votes plus ~5 posts from each player explaining their votes and answering questions would that have really changed the outcome?

Not sure exactly what you're getting at? From my vantage point you caught very little heat in this game. Actually I think both you and Jabbz looked towny from seeming to worry so little about your appearances. Too scummy to be scum, in a sense.

In any case, you played well! (As did many others. Great game all around.)
If you know what I mean.

@ the posting, I just got slammed. Two trips to the hospital for two different parents in the same week, and then a lot of homework/reading to do just left me with extremely limited time. Hell, even though it's spring breka, I still have 40ish pages worth of papers to write, and about 300 pages of reading to do. Yay for getting caught up (and if I don't get lazy, maybe even a little bit ahead.)

Thanks zak. I don't have any issues with what happened in-game, and in-game I both sincerely expressed a desire to contribute more but also insincerely promised to spend more time on some cases than I thought they warranted. Of course in-game if people find me scummy and ask me for reads, to answer questions, etc, I need to do that, and refusing to do so certainly doesn't look town.

I was instead bothered a bit by flak thrown my way in the lurker thread, because it felt like I was being criticized on the wrong margin. It culminated in Gazglum's point about asking to be mod killed, though he's already responded above and all is well.

Great game everybody, and well played! I had a fun time, even though I got myself killed day 2. Thanks to Commodore for hosting, the design and flavor were wonderful.

How dare he pretend to be one of you? You're not quite sure when you made the decision that he had to die, but you're a townie. You don't think things through logically, you don't carefully examine lines and line of argumentation. You pick your murder victim with your all-too-human gut, and then you go with it. That's what being town means.

Copying this from the game thread, I think these kinds of discussions belong here. (?)

I want to apologize to novice again. I shouldn't have let BRick do his thing, I thought you were pretty townie that last day yet didn't want to change my vote.

And I think the victory goes mainly to the many players who, even though they died kind of early, made good reads on the real scum. When I was facing BRick I was glad to find traces of BRick suspicions from the early days, it gave me easy arguments to throw at him and made me feel like I had a fighting chance. Lewwyn Gazglum you were probably the most helpful.

But I still don't get Pindicator's night argument where lynching me was supposed to be the safer play noidea

There's obviously no need to apologize, Adrien.

Great game by all, in every respect.
I have to run.
