Terry Pratchett has died.
He was a great author, and while we will probably never see his plans for the world floating atop Great A'Tuin, we can always go back and revisit the many great books he wrote set on the Disc.

I went to a talk by him when he was on a book tour, and he told a story about how one of his books won a prestigious award. He asked to see the actual physical award beforehand, and in preparation for the ceremony, had a replica of it made out of chocolate. When the award was given to him, he deftly swapped them and then, to all appearances, ATE THE AWARD.
He also wrote a lot of very good books. What a human.
Incredibly sad, and the first time I've really felt profoundly sad after a celebrity dying.
A great man, and one who will be sorely missed.
