attempt 2
I ended up losing 1 worker and 1 warrior to a Gargoyle, but he ended up dying. A scout popped Exploration from a Graveyard, hence all the roads, however ... he didnt make it, a Giant Spider ate him. Here I have completed a road to the copper, about to build a mine, about to finish a settler, and am 4 turns away from Bronzeworking. At this point I have 3 workers (used to have 4), and I'll plant a city on the Eastern Ivory after placing a city 1tile west of the corn. Mainly just warriors and settlers. I might next go for Code of Laws and Construction.
I followed a similar plan City-location wise, however I went crafting/gold first, instead of agriculture first, which was probably a mistake. I explored a few lairs, and ended up getting Strong + Poisoned blade on my scout ... but ... then I popped Azers. Which most likely spelled my eventual doom.
I went worker, 3 warriors, 2 workers, then settler/warrior switch out, when the Azer arrived.
I died to the Azer turn 48, with a 2nd city perhaps possible .... but avoided due to Azer arriving.
