Oh God, I can see that Shadeun and Mattimeo together are going to be ridiculous.

A dreadful silence settled on the village during the night.
When the morning arrived the dread remained, but at least the silence was gone.
There were no fatalities.
...
At daybreak the assembled found a mysterious note prominently posted on front door of the village inn. It read:
Even before I open my eyes I can hear them The fools and acerbic idiots, endlessly arguing over nothing and no one of consequence. Too foolish to accept my help, too blind to see that their actions are slowly tightening the noose about their own throats.
I stand up slowly, hardly daring to believe it when none of them look my way, look at the inexpertly-fashioned gallows that couldn't even kill a single man before failing - not that I'm complaining, mind you.
For a moment I'm tempted to just pack my bags and leave, leave this hellhole that's eaten up the last two years of my life and these people that tried to get rid of the rest of it. But no, someone should stick around to tell the world how this latest example of communist witch-hunts tore a city apart. Not that I'd ever betray my impartiality - no journalist worth their salt would ever do that!
God, it seems that a near-death experience doesn't make ones jokes any less pathetic. No wonder Sarah wanted "a bit of time away from it all." What's it been now? 11 months? Boy time flies when you're living each day on the edge in a practical war-zone.
I move slowly, calmly away from the scene of my attempted murder. It's easy to forget, when they dress it up with "lynching" and "the greater good" that everything that's happening here is utterly illegal, by any stretch of the imagination.
A man pushes past me, shoving me roughly aside. For a moment I think I'm discovered - and reach out, pulling him down with me into a heap on the ground - but I quickly remember that this is just what passes for manners in this part of the world.
He moves away, swearing in a most creative manner - that's one thing you can't fault their language on, the swearing. It never ceases to surprise-
What's this? In his haste he has left a sheaf of notes behind. Mind racing, I skim through them. They appear to be referring to some sort of medication that the man was taking regularly, though why he'd need anti-psychotics designed to resist Scopolomine, I couldn't imagine...
And suddenly, a half-forgotten snippet of memory triggered. About an article published nearly 7 years ago about the uses of certain drugs to help induct cult members in some South American country. Could there be some mad cultist here, trying the same methods? And what reason would this man have for suspecting it?
Perhaps that explains the moronic behavior of my fellows. Perhaps there really are dangerous and disruptive elements in this town, and perhaps they're using these arcane methods to further their mad goals. Or perhaps I just met a conspiracy theorist with no ability to keep his mouth shut.
Whatever the case, I, Commodore Roger Piper, will not rest till I have discovered the truth lurking at the heart of this town. Heh, maybe they'll even be some bonus if I can get this out before this entire town tears itself to pieces....?
Despite the signature, the source was uncertain.

Well, this is fascinating.
You know you're in a role madness game when you find yourself rechecking the first post to see if the players you've lynched are actually dead. And incidentally, Goreripper is still listed as a living player.
If you know what I mean.

Interesting is indeed a word for it. So the question is, are we facing a cult, hence no death, are we facing an attempted murder that was blocked by a doc/immune/RB/etc, or did someone decide not to kill?

Based on the day message? My vote is cult. So who got turned?

Well, I was expecting any number of things from a role madness game, but perhaps not quite that.
I guess I'll vote Novice for the reasons above, and go to bed.

No kills could have any number of explanations, including all of the above, but that flavor text certainly hints heavily at the presence of a cult.
Not a very helpful night result, tbh.
If you know what I mean.

Wow. At least no ones got killed yet, although admittedly that leaves us with no real tells.

Remember the Lewwyn vampire game. It might take longer than that, or have various esoteric restrictions.
Or maybe this is just wishful thinking. We've yet to have an unbridled cult in these games, but they're pretty clearly not something we want to see.
Shadeun, I get why you didn't want to contribute yesterday, but could you now? Who do you suspect?
How many times must I discharge my blunderbuss?
