Ah sorry I see now - well I expect us to die next turn then! I did think of declaring on Gavagi to get back for sniping the northern city and sitting the scout on a nice tile, but it might make things messy with turn order and what have you. Still can't believe we lasted as long as we did!

Well now I have a lot of reading to do. Even with the map not in our favor maybe we could have done better (I made some noob mistakes, and some other weird moves were due to miscommunication), but I'm still reasonably satisfied with my first MP experience. It was fun playing with you !

Yeah, I've had those same reactions when reading some people's threads after games I've been in. I've learned to have a thick skin when reading the comments put about me in their threads. I just take it with a grain of salt.
And there are certain people who just seem to like to rant about their opponents.

Indeed. GG dude, it was fun playing with you too. I think I agree with your sentiments there. I think we tried to play the strongest possible Eco we could manage in the first 50 or so turns rather than playing the map we had - ie we should have formulated something to deal with the essential duel like an early bid for HAs or the like.

There were a few micro errors and stuff yeah -but this was overshadowed by our lack of focus on how to play the map that we were dealt. The communication could have been better at some crucial moments, but I don't think it had much baring on the outcome of the game.

Ha I like the fact that us seeing the GJ thread is giving us such a big response... I had a quick look at the last page and I saw he was a little miffed to say the least. Although I still don't know how else we could have played it. Our core would have been so susceptible to a Numid/knight attack until galleons... And our second attack wasn't a troll, it was us seeing the other wars he was in and trying to breakout rather than sitting there and being taken for minimal cost later.

Same. And he has played very well, we can't take that away from him. (He was annoyed I did a 'forment unhappiness mission last turn. Might as well use the EP! Realistically we could have perhaps tried to steal astro perhaps?)
