WW37- For Whom the Bell Trolls

What makes it a superprotector? It's just a doctor with side effects. And the side effects are more useful for a scum role.

Although... I guess it would also protect against recruitment. So yeah, if townies must be protected both against scum kills and against cult recruitment, then it actually makes a lot of sense as a town role.

Completely off-topic, but this is pretty awesome. We are scheduled for a partial solar eclipse with 95% coverage, starting in ten minutes. And the sky is completely clear, with a perfect view from my office window.

Well done town, especially Lewwyn. Though the fact that Fenn flipped a brown colour, not the usual red, lends credit to Rowain's multi-scum theory.

Matt, what 'new information' came up in the last half hour that was relevant to a vote? If you knew you were in danger of missing the deadline, why not vote for a leading candidate before you went to work?

Shadeun, you went quiet like a submarine at the end. In your big post you mentioned opinions on everyone except Zakalwe, Pindicator and Fenn, and Fenn was a suspect under discussion at the time. What were your thoughts on him?

Rowain, I agree with Lewwyn that your logic doesn't make sense. What you say here:

(March 19th, 2015, 17:51)Rowain Wrote: If Fenn or Gaz were town lynching one is bad. If they are scum then it weakens one scum-party while the other gets closer to victory. In fact the non-fascist scum-party has now a good shot to win. They can push lynches easier than the fascist and since they can coordinate they can do it simpler than town.

If you replace me and Fenn with your preferred candidates Dtay and Shadeun, doesn't the same point still apply? So why did you want to lynch one of them? Or anyone, ever?

Also, if you live in the north of Europe and its not as cloudy as London right now, there is a major solar eclipse apparently happening! Get outside people!

I think you're still off by one hour?

The sky is overcast in Oslo, unfortunately. frown

The partial phase has allegedly started. Though I cannot see any change yet.

Completely clear was an overstatement, and now there's actually a cloud in the way. But I can still see the full disc.

I was wrong on Fenn it seems.

3 teams seems like too many. Though, getting a bit of time to read through previous games, the scum hunting does seem weak in WW37.

Thanks for the welcome back!

Where do we stand in terms of who we feel are scum? Who we think are Fascists alongside Fenn?

Some early thoughts before work kicks off too much:

dtay seems to have said not much but hasn't done anything either. Voting pattern doesn't reveal much (but i can look harder in the afternoon).

Agnes... I dont really know whats happening there. I want to have something to say here but don't.

Rowain: was part of the goreripper mis-lynch on day 1 and then suddenly had a change of hart and pushed hard with 40 seconds (or something) left to make it a no lynch on day 2. Perhaps a change of heart, a lesson learned? I doubt it.

Gazglum and Novice have been fighting with each other publicly (with nothing really popping up until today when novice didn't vote for Gaz). Both voted for Fenn ultimately.
I was fooled for a while. I once was lost, but now am found.
Was blind but now I see.... that Gaz/Novice fight was a giant misdirection play and they are on the same team.
Gazglum did ride out day 1 voting for novice but there was no real risk there as novice finished with but one vote.
Admittedly this is much more 'feel' than I would usually be up for but seems like the kind of tricksyness I have long known to exist in Gaz's heart.

I've been intermittent at posting. Admittedly, last night, I couldn't think of a good reason to pile on Fenn so let my vote for novice ride thinking Fenn would get lynched. Also: maybe most people are cult and (in which case) random lynches are important each and every day if there is a path to town victory?

Finally: I'd like to take the time to all the people who say I'm playing poorly. How lovely of you.
For now we (may) be working together on scum hunting.
However, I will get better.
I will not forget you beyond WW37.
Expect me.

No. IMO it will depend on what happens tonight if it was good for town or not but honestly I think town was f** from start. You are natural quite happy someone from an enemy scumteam was lynched because that gives your party more power.

If there are no nightkills no Lynch is the right way as it keeps everything in balance. If it was just coincidence that there was no NK last night then its maybe different.

Something is definitely taking a bite out of the sun now!

I agree with Shadeun that no lynch seems particularly unwise if we're facing a growing cult. (If that was indeed what he meant.)
