I'm caught up on the pertinent parts I believe, and feeling somewhat better than yesterday, so here is a list of observations that I have.
1. I think that the way everyone seems to be going along with these morning messages is off. The context and flavor doesn't sound like its a message being sent from the GM, and quite frankly, if Bob is sending those, its a real bastard way to do it, to instil doubt while giving key information. I think there is a player trying to screw with us in two ways. A: by getting us distracted with a possible cult faction, and B: by trying to minimize the violence during the day. That in theory should benefit scum, yet we haven't seen any nightkills, so I'm not sure what the hell is up with that.
2. I too am not overly enjoying the game. I don't get town feelings from pretty much anyone, and I don't get engaged feelings from pretty much anyone. That is a very odd combination from my perspective, and it doesn't match up well with anything I've seen to date. Even the grandiloquent Gaz seems to be a bit flatter than usual. I'm not sure what this is indicative of, but it does seem to suggest to me that this is far from a normal game, and if people are trying to engage it as such, it is going to result in the above mentioned feeling of apathy.
3. Yes sadly Gaz, I was pretty sick. I started feeling crappy Sunday, ill by Monday, and wishing someone would shoot me by Tuesday. My energy levels still blow, but I figure I do owe it to you guys to at least contribute given I did sign up, and feel I can now string two sentences together with some degree of clarity.
4. I don't think no lynch is going to solve anything, but I'm not sure whose hands I'm playing into by lynching either. Gaz still comes across as scummy to me, but then again, in the light I'm looking at the town through right now, everyone does. I'll think about it for a while, and try to figure out where my vote is going to go in a while, if it does at all.

Impressive. How do you know?

Agreed.
(March 21st, 2015, 11:17)Gazglum Wrote: I don't really know what to do. If people think the win condition is no lynch, then I am willing to cap this day at 24 hours and try that. If we're still here tomorrow then I guess we are supposed to play out a bastard game and I would probably go back to voting Rowain.
(March 21st, 2015, 06:06)Gazglum Wrote: But of everyone, I think Rowain comes off yesterday far the worst. I think its pretty surprising nobody else voted him yet. His logic about no-lynching makes no sense, and only turned up once Fenn was on the block.
This is the meat of the Rowain case IMO.
This is my main reservation:

Also, I don't think this is true:

I wouldn't classify Fenn as a lurker, he was just playing scummily.
Quote:Agnes, you're parrying Novice's attacks, but you haven't mentioned anything about how Fenn's flip has changed your own read on the game. Am I still your chief suspect? How does that work, if so? If I'm not, then who is?
Honestly, I'm not sure. I don't think you work as scum alongside Fenn, but I still feel like you're scum. Which makes me think multi scum is increasingly likely.
I also don't like your claim, here. Seems to come out of nowhere, and I don't get why you'd want to claim it as town.
You still haven't answered my questions from last night.

No worries, I know it's your job to spread lies .
Deadline is indeed upon us. Sorry Gazglum if you're town, but I have to do this to save myself.
(March 19th, 2015, 16:59)Agnes The Orphan Wrote: I'll vote Fenn if it comes to no-lynch, btw. Based on a brief reading he looks slightly scummy in his latest posts, but not nearly so much as Gazglum.

1058, Fenn posts. 1059 I cross post saying I'll switch for a draw. 1059 again I immediately vote Fenn. Where is there time for me to wait for any of you to break the draw in Gazglums favor? I vote the second I see a post saying it's been drawn. I don't wait for reactions, I don't hold off, hoping someone will cross vote. I don't even just forget about it, pretend I haven't seen anything.
I believed it was a no lynch. My head is spinning trying to work out what it actually was, but that was clearly my belief.
And I made a choice between lynching Fenn and a no lynch. If there are two of us, and I'd fought tooth and nail for him...why not just leave it there? There are a cacophony of excuses I could use.
And if I was bandwagoning...why not do it earlier? What had really changed - only this, that there was a chance he wouldn't get lynched. That's not a scenario in which you shift stances to bandwagoning - it's the stupidest time to do so.

You really don't think I could've avoided this? Could've pretended to miss the draw, could've held back or argued about whether or not it was the case? You said something earlier about how I was unusually willing to claim and so on - do you really think I'd be unwilling to let it no lynch?
And even more than that - there were no other active players on Gazglum, iirc. Nor any off Fenn, tbh. If I let it sit, it was quite probable one of you would've joined me for the sake of the lynch before all else. If not you then Rowain (as happened). So I could've just sat, and waited - especially given my fascist partner (Fenn) was online, so we could presumably communicate. And if I was campaigning to save him, putting my neck on the line to do so, why should I not go this final hurdle?
This also flies in the face of how to approach this situation, as a fascist. To campaign for a dead wagon, that's languished with nothing but some dead votes for a day and a half is just foolish, especially with the weight of pressure on him at that point. Why shouldn't I just join the wagon relatively easily? Or start another one, perhaps revitalize the Mattimeo push. Or a Dtay/Shadeun lurker kill - hell, Rowain was pushing them both, and it would give it activity. It also follows nicelyfrom my established distrust of the established votes, which i could use to leave the Gaz train. With Fenn, that's already 3 votes, and with all the discontent it's certainly got a good chance of succeeding.
And why not bus? I've never shown myself to be afraid of that in the past.
I think your argument fails on many levels and, honestly, I don't think your heart is even in it.
Rowain and Mattimeo were around, both seemed to be intending to vote, but neither had stated where they were leaning. So you would hold out hope that they voted Gazglum. You say you could have sat and waited, and yes, that's exactly what you did. When noone appeared to vote Gazglum, you bailed out and voted Fenn. If you hadn't someone else could have ninja voted (and Rowain, in fact, did) and left you exposed. You were clearly online so you couldn't have claimed not to see the danger of no lynch looming. [/quote]
I'd just posted. I could've claimed it was a cross. Or said I didn't know what the tally was. Both were true, in actual fact - I just happened to be reading.
And again, you're missing that I bailed on Fenn right when there was a chance (a good one, too) of saving him. What is the point of that?
Quote:Who were you going to start a wagon on when you returned to find Fenn still on the block? There were only a couple other players around (see above), so you couldn't have started a new wagon from scratch. Hence you were stuck arguing that Gazglum had to be scum after all.
And why not bus? There are probably only two fascists, at most three. In my experience scum don't bus lightly in those circumstances.
Your last point falls against the ones earlier, btw.
And I stated a bunch of ways I could've argued it. As another example, I could've advocated strongly for Fenns innocence, argued his defense, and stated I was prepared to vote to defend. Then pushed a few wagons around, said Gazglums was okay, led a lurker lynch, or done whatever. Sure, it's scummy, but if there are only a few of us in a long game like this then maybe I'd be prepared to do that.
As a matter of fact, you'll note I never defended or attacked the Fenn wagon. I was, to be quite frank, ambivalent to his lynch - I didn't care one way or the other. If I was scum working hard to save someone, I'd definitely attack the other wagon at least minimally.
