Wrap: Toroidal
Size: Normal
Speed: Normal or Quick, but take note that some of us do work on weekend so a blitz might not be doable
Civ: Only india and inca banned
Leaders: Only Pacal and Willem banned
Wonders: None (Unless map is island heavy then TGL)
Do the other players have any inputs on the settings?
Nothing new to add really. I am rather eager to get started.
In addition, I would rather like a dedicated lurker if anybody is interested. I wrote as much in my thread but that's a poor place to advertise for such a role.

Does the map committee have a rough idea of the timeline until the map is made? No rush of course, but if we're planning out a blitz session it would be nice to know if we're looking at this weekend or a week from now. And of course the sooner the starts are available, the sooner we can start the snake pick while the map is finalized. Is there a way to randomize an order using the forum, or should a lurker just post a randomized snake pick order?

Thanks, Gawdzak! I'll create our thread soon. And thanks, Khan, for requesting the sub-forum.

To anyone who is playing: I have edited what I think is the current consensus into the first post of this thread. Please let me know if this looks acceptable, or if I have misrepresented anything.
Most issues and settings seem fairly uncontroversial to me. I'll PM a final list to Commodore as soon as we have 2 more players confirm that they are happy with the settings as described in the first post. If someone spots something to which they object, I'll hold off from sending the PM.
I am eager to get started. It would be nice to see our starts soonish for planning purposes, and to give Commodore some time to create our map.
After we know our starts and the approximate timeline, I'll use a calendar scheduling tool (Doodle or WhenIsGood) to see if we can find a common day and time to begin the game.

I'll sign off on the front post, with the caveat that someone decides one way or the other on the GLH. I don't really care, but I don't want the mapmakers' decision on the GLH to reveal information about how water-heavy the map is.

I'm fine with the settings and can vote to ban TGL if it helps to reach a majority.

Technical question: I assume a dedlurker should avoid lurker thread, just like players?

I'm ok with the settings in the first post except no wonder bans to keep the suspense.
