Kragroth's Raging Kurios [GAME 3 Session III - Kragroth vs Bob]

So the Value of Enemy Soldiers is now 25K. This reflects the fact that I successfully defended against two warriors (but died to a third).

The enemy should have 6K Power due to population. I can verify 3 Warriors within Sight so that's 9K. We're missing another 10K. There must be at least one Warrior in his third city so that's 7K Left.

I really screwed up. I moved into a position where all three cities could attack me. I didn't realize they were in Range and I lost "Scout". At least I counterattacked and cost him another warrior and a worker.

I have to group up my centaurs and go all at once. Or at least have them travel in packs. I"ve already lost 2 centaurs and its costing me.

Bob has mining and has put up a copper road to that mine. I do not want Bob getting Copper Warriors! He is placing warriors to protect his worker to get gold. I do not want him getting gold!

Death to Bob! I lost 2 centaurs due to foolishness. My centaurs attack in packs from now on. Education then Crafting Mining then Archery then Stirrups!

Bob made a mistake last turn. He could have cancelled his orders to build a mine and instead build a road towards my injured centaurs. He could have decimated them. Instead, they promoted and killed off 2 of his warriors. I almost was able to capture those two workers on that hill but lost with 65% odds. As such I moved all my other centaurs in range to reinforce. It's 3 fully healed 3 Str warriors and an injured warrior vs. 5 centaurs that are fatigued. We'll see how this plays out, but I think I have the upper hand.

I really think Tasunke would have been a better choice for Bob. I'm glad he has Rhoanna.

If I get lucky and I can capture the city, I'm going to try to keep it.

So, good news and bad news.

The good news is that I finally enticed Bob to cast War Cry.

The bad news is that he used it to slaughter all 5 of my centaurs and now I fear for the safety of my cities.

Still though, at least it's used.

Bob decided not to use this huge force of 4 Str 2 move warriors to attack my nearest city. Instead he opted to pillage my improvements along the way and do what looks to be invading toward my capitol.

I believe this was a mistake and that he should have gone more all in. I think he might have been able to take my city and now it's less likely.

He's got 5 warriors in my territory now and I'm building a warrior / turn to defend myself in my capitol. I've activated conquest and Apprenticeship. This is a temporary measure because I'll be getting God King Soon with Mysticism. I'll be switching Traits soon. It'll be Charismatic or Agressive or Raiders for me. I wish I could get some feedback.

Bob is still a threat, but I think I have a good chance of holding his 5 warriors even in my capitol. Bob really should have chosen Tasunke. I don't think Rhoanna is a great choice for a duel personally.

I lost my fight with my centaur. Got Bob's lone warrior down to 1.6. But, I won a fight with my newly trained warrior. I gave him Shock. I chose Aggressive as my Trait. I think this was the right choice. You have to wait 1 turn in order to use xp but you get the Combat 1 promotion right away. I used that last turn and I'm pleased with the result because Bob didn't attack me.

So, only 3 warriors next to me. Bob could get lucky and kill some warriors but my capitol can't be destroyed in only 1 turn. I'm still getting 1 warrior per turn and even a Combat I Shock I Warrior is still a threat to a 4 Str Warcry Warrior.

At this point after Mysticism my eyes are set for Crafting Mining Archery, Construction and Bronze Working. Maybe I can just Warrior Rush with Catapaults?

Bob's invading force is nearly finished. He's down to 1 warrior without Warcry. He probably has odds to pick off one of my warriors, but since he doesn't have Warcry, even if he got lucky, he wouldn't be able to finish me off and 2 warriors defending is enough.

He pillaged my incense so I'm behind in economy but I am capable of building cottages.

All in all, I'm vulnerable and not as far ahead as I'd like to be, but, I feel really good after defending that War Cry.

Also, Bob's trying to retreat his Warrior, I don't think he'll make it!

Right now we're in kind of a stalemate but I think Bob has some upper hand. It's hard with 2 cities, but I have a tech lead and I'm gonna use it.

I finish mining this turn and I will decide where I go next. If Copper is available, I'll go for that. I'm considering Construction after this to build catapaults to take out his nearby cities. It's a long journey. He's got a big stack that is aching to hurt me. I'm going to slowly pillage his resources in his nearby cities for as long as I can. We're in a weird situation where the Kuriorates have the aggressive trait and are getting combat 2 compared to the hippus without it. I assume Bob will be getting Bronze working soon. Not a whole lot I can do about it. Getting inside his defenses is going to be difficult. I'll probably be facing these copper warriors soon. My stack may die, but they are heavily promoted after fighting his invading force. My mega warrior has Combat 3 and Shock 2 which is heavily encouraging him not to attack me yet.
