It was paused. I think we reoffer 80g for peace, then burn as much excess gold on 1T of research
I see two main options:
1) Attack Elum. We will want to go Engineering for this. Regroup Berserkers down south out of his sight in AL in Navigation Galleys (we need more from the north), and berserkers and knights in the north 1SE of TP, ready to use Woody II/Mobility respectively to hit Ecbatana out of the fog. Also we can try to hit his city north of the gulf with a 4-move galley using the GG.
2) Try to play economic catchup - convert to caste, get philosophy, birth a GS and fire a GA to go Paper-> PP etc .

Sorry to bail last night; my eldest woke up and found us, at which point it's shut down and go to bed time regardless.
Elum was shuffling Catapults around W of TP; some seemed to be going South, but others moving North. Their thread has also been active - probably discussing how to take advantage while we're distracted by Adrien.
If we can get Peace, can we make a "fast" attack by land past NB?
Agree on Engineering, but we might want to spend a bit on upgrades incase Adrien has changed his mind. Also, we need to leave an in-game note to remind us to cancel the gpt deals with johns & CH after 10t.

I'm fine with upgrades just as long as the excess gold is gone so Adrien won't get greedy.

Yep. We need peace now. Also Engineering anyway if Elum is going to attack.

We can stage 2-movers 1SE of NB. If we have engineering we can then hit the city from that tile, otherwise we will give 1 turn's notice. Elum can see us moving troops up that narrow land bridge north so we should galley troops across the lake if we're doing that.
ETA- if we have engineering knights moving 6 tiles should not be spotted by him.
I'd prefer to hit Ecbatana but if he's staging there then we should hit elsewhere

Yeah, that's ideal if we can get it done in a timely manner, but we shouldn't hold up the game too much more IMO.

So should we make a request in the tech thread? It would be quite bad if Adrien rejects the deal next turn.

2 more chops and we complete AP eot next turn. We need to send 2 workers to rebuild the fort.
Don't want to settle either spot on Barbstralia because they're not easy to defend and can be hit out of the fog with two-movers, so moving to settle fillers in mainland.
Elum has a Pike in Zohak, researching gunpowder in 2T (mixed up 'can research' and 'can't trade' the other day ![twirl twirl](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/twirl.gif) )
Interturn: Elum and Whosit's GA end, Adrien gets a GE.

That marks the third time someone's invaded our land and gone home empty.
So we're no 1 in power and our GNP correspondingly sucks. Ah well. Adrien started GA with the Engineer, Elum made peace with Whosit so I'm expecting an attack any time soon.
Dreylin if it were up to me alone I'd propose AP victory just for the lulz but maybe you would disagree?
Also, any idea why Elum is building a Workshop where no city can work it?

I'm pretty certain that AP victory is nerfed in RtR.
Elum is probably planning a filler city on the Jungle tile 1E, at least that's my guess.

You can still call for the vote and win the vote if the other players want to indulge you, but it doesn't do anything, the game keeps on going.
