Elum did indeed kick Whosit out of both Big E and Yamato, and MASSACRED his stack as a result. I haven't seen that much carnage since Tamerlane. Look at the power graph:
I have to admit to taking a certain amount of glee from that, since Whosit was the aggressor. I actually don't blame Elum too much; it's exactly what I would have done in his shoes.
The one bad thing is that Arizona is soon going to be cut off from both Iron and Elephants when Bismarck comes out of revolt for Elum next turn. It'll complete a Hwacha this turn, then I guess I'll have to build Archers there from now on.
Whosit asked for peace this turn, but I turned him down. Suck War Weariness!
Elum is moving a small stack forward to Lexingon to capture it. Since Lexington is only defended by a single WE, his stack of 1 cat, 1 spear, 3 knights SHOULD be able to capture it easily.
And Arizona lost access to Iron & Ivory this turn thanks to Elum's captured cities coming out of revolt, so I switched to a wall instead, seeing as how I can only build archers and warrior there now. Of course, if I last that long, I'll have Feudalism in 9 turns.
That was amusing. Elum left Ark Royal undefended -- he pulled the two xbows in it out to attack Arizona. Since Ark Royal was 3 tiles away with my culture from Arizona pressed right up against it...I went ahead and moved my archer out of AZ and recaptured it.
The archer is the least useful unit in AZ (except for the hwacha, which can't capture a city), and I'm going to lose AZ anyway, so might as well have some fun and make Elum divide his forces again.
Elum's little stack is next to Lex now and will likely capture it next turn, but who knows? It's only 2 HAs a cat and a spear now. Maybe I'll get lucky! It does have 40% cultural defense.
Due to time constraints yesterday I couldn't report on T167, but nothing big happened. Elum captured 3 of my 4 remaining cities, so, you know, nothing major. All that remains now is Admiral Graf Spee.
The good thing is that this is the best defended city I have had so far. 3 pikes, a WE, an axe, and an xbow will build next turn. And it has 100% defense bonus from walls and a castle. Elum's small stack heading there won't be able to take it...he's only got 3 cats and a few knights and spears. I'm also hoping I'll be able to get a mace built before he gets enough troops there to really have a good chance at it. All those hills right there are really helping slow down his attack.
Dreylin/ipecac attacked Elum this turn, taking two of his cities. They had to wait until I'm down to 1 city to do it, but better late than never I guess. How amusing would that be if I survive for another 20-30 turns with just one city?
Elum has a stack coming towards my last city, but I don't think he has enough siege to get the cultural defenses down very fast, and without that he has no chance of taking it.
Anyway, most of my turns from now on are just going to be logging in and pressing the enter button, so not a whole lot of excitement to be seen here. I'll post some screenshots once Elum starts his attack.

Survive? Yes, I remember now, it starts off with you wanting to survive, just a bit longer. But then your ambition will grow, like a disgusting hunger that not even one thousand hot pockets could sate. You will survive only to see your enemies hunger for life the way you once did. And in the moment when they realize what has happened, when your lust for death and disgusting microwaved foodlike product merge into a cyclone of unstoppable misery and gustatory loathing, they will know in that instant that you have won. For once started, the journey from survival to all encompassing annihilation is fleeting, like the enjoyment of a hot pocket; it begins cold, frozen, and lifeless but ends in an explosion of superheated lava-like cheese and resentment, a thing to despair of while awaiting the inevitable end, yet of which you will be powerless to stop your pursuit. This is the essence of finding your destiny once banished to isolation, overcoming mere survival, and transcending the bonds of existence. Live to kill. Kill to live. Take the hot pockets. But don't eat them for that is death. Instead, live to kill more, and more, and more.

Well, that was a short war. Dreylin/ipecac & Elum made peace this turn. I guess for Elum it's not a huge deal -- he lost 2 cities to Dreylin, but gained...what? 11 cities from me? Looks like my time is definitely over now.
Here's the armies for what is likely the final battle:
Should be a good battle. Odds favor Elum, but a couple of bad RNG results for him could allow me to survive. He'd be much better off if he had a few maces or swords because my defense is pike-heavy. I'm also curious if he's going to beat down the cultural defenses first. If he does that, it'll take at least 5 or 6 turns for him to do so with just 3 catapults, allowing me to get more defenders built.
So we'll see what happens! The most exciting part of the whole invasion! Can he kill me next turn?
